MORNINGSTAR SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES OPEN TEXT LIVELINK INTEGRATION WITH PLUMTREE CORPORATE PORTAL 4.5WS

Gadget Suite and Crawler Web Service Strengthen Content Management Capabilities for Joint Customers

Owings Mills, MD -- (PRnetwire.com) -- May 15, 2002 -- Morningstar announces two new Plumtree integration products for incorporating Open Text Livelink content management capabilities into the Plumtree Corporate Portal.  The first is a suite of Plumtree Gadget Web Services that combines the most valuable content management capabilities of Livelink in a portal page.  The second is a Plumtree Crawler Web Service for scanning and indexing content from Livelink in the Plumtree Document Directory. The integration of the Livelink and Plumtree platforms augments Plumtree's content management capabilities for joint customers, and extends the value of Livelink content to reach more business users across the enterprise. The Gadget Suite is availably immediately from Morningstar Systems, and the Crawler Web Service is expected to be available later this quarter, also from Morningstar.

Morningstar used open Internet standards to develop the products, which can be integrated in the Plumtree Corporate Portal 4.5WS, the newest version of the Plumtree platform. Version 4.5WS is based completely on a Web Services Architecture, which allows the portal to integrate resources developed in different languages, running on different platforms and networks. Morningstar's Plumtree-certified Gadget Suite is available for Plumtree versions 4.0 and above.

The Plumtree Corporate Portal incorporates the most valuable capabilities of Open Text Livelink as Plumtree Gadget Web Services, modular components that deliver key services from enterprise applications and Internet sites to a portal page. Container Browser
*   displays the content of any Livelink folder or project. 
Livelink Search
*  displays a search form for Livelink.
My Projects
*  displays a list of projects where the user is either a member or coordinator.
My Favorites
*  displays all of the user's favorites from Livelink.
My Tasks
*  displays a list of tasks from the user's inbox.
My Workspace
*  displays the contents of the user's Personal Workspace.
Live Report Executor
*  executes any LiveReport from Livelink.

The Plumtree Crawler Web Service for Livelink adds to Plumtree's collection of crawlers for other document and content management systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, the Internet, corporate intranets and extranets and File Systems, giving customers a unified view of all documents across the enterprise, regardless of the repository in which they are located. The Crawler Web Service for Livelink periodically scans the repositories for new content and places links to new content in the searchable Plumtree Document Directory that includes Web pages, reports, e-mail and documents from file systems. With the addition of Livelink content into the directory, more portal users throughout the enterprise can take advantage of the knowledge stored in their Livelink repositories.
