Modesto, CA -- (PRnetwire) -- October 3, 2001 -- Godfather Entertainment today announced the release of the new music album "Along Time Coming" by positive-minded Hip-Hop group, Prodejay. The 12 tracks on the new CD were composed and performed by a cadre of Hip Hop veterans including The Greek Godfather, Jay Roo, D-Real, Pook, Younique, Chastity, AMD, and The Prophet. Together these diverse artists comprise the group Prodejay (pronounced "protege").
According to a report issued in March of 2001 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the Rap/Hip Hop genre has leaped to second place among music consumers with 12.9% of the market. Rap/Hip Hop replaces Country as the number two genre, a title this music category had held throughout the decade.
Prodejay is a Hip Hop group combining mainstream Rap with a touch of R&B as well as venturing into some original dance and rock mixtures. Each member is from a different background, which adds to the diversity and depth of their music.
