DR. HERBERT FRITSCHE PRESENTS CANCER DISCOVERY AT INTERNATIONAL CANCER MEETING
WACO, TEXAS - Sept. 3, 2003 (Send2Press Newswire) -- Direct Wireless
Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: DWCM) today announced that Dr. Herbert
Fritsche, from MD Anderson Cancer Center, is presenting today the results
of two scientific studies using the Company's recently acquired patent
protected proprietary software, Fractal Genomic Modeling (FGM), at the
31st Meeting of the International Society for Oncodevelopmental Biology
and Medicine (ISOBM) in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
"Dr. Fritsche, a world renowned expert in cancer markers, will present a
newly discovered set of genes that was found using our Fractal Genomics
Modeling software that can separate ALL-T-cell leukemia from ALL-B-cell
leukemia with 100% accuracy," stated Bill G. Williams, CEO of Direct
Wireless. "In addition, Dr. Fritsche will present new evidence discovered
using our FGM software to link critical pathways in lung development,
which could lead to new diagnostic markers and drug targets for lung
cancer."
The ISOBM has an international membership representing twenty-six
countries and provides a forum in which clinical oncologists and
scientists in academia and industry can share research findings and review
clinical practice in oncology. The Society's Annual Meetings attract 400
to 600 delegates from hospital, university and corporate laboratories.
They are one of the few major international meetings focusing on tumor
markers and encompassing a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from basic
biology and translational research to clinical application.
