Survey Shows Chocolates, Flowers And Cuddly Toys Are Out And Sexy Underwear, Weekend Breaks And Romantic Dinners Are In This Valentines Day
BRISBANE, Australia - February 11, 2004 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- An international survey conducted by
Lustythreads.com (www.lustythreads.com), the Australian sexy bikini and underwear specialists, shows that
most Valentines miss the mark.
The traditional Valentines of chocolates and flowers, two of the most popular offerings last year were in
fact some of the least desired. Forty-two percent of women received flowers in 2003 but only 8% ranked
them on their 2004 wish list.
Valentines "ins" this year for women includes sexy underwear, romantic dinners and an amorous weekend away.

"This is not to say that American men are not romantic," said Lustythreads Founder and Director, Victoria
Brown. "Many marriage proposals occur on Valentines Day. Some of the more romantic gifts received by women
included a flat full of roses and red balloons, a treasure hunt around New York with chocolates at every
location and a surprise trip to the Bahamas complete with sprinkled flower petals and champagne."

get away for the weekend in sexy underwear with their partners."

With sexy underwear ranking so highly in the survey, the Lustythreads team drilled deeper. Of the people
who had received underwear on Valentines Day, over 60% of men and over 80% of women had received items
which were sexier than they would have chosen for themselves.
"A fascinating finding from our survey was that over 90% of female and 75% of male respondents stated that
they felt sexier and more confident when wearing daring underwear," concluded Brown.
Attitudes to Valentines also differed between the genders. Ninety-seven percent of women thought that
women get more attention on Valentines Day than men, but 70% felt that men and women should get equal
attention.
Men (100%) also thought that women received more attention but think (72%) that Valentines Day was really a
day for the girls. Only 23% of men think men and women should get equal attention.
The survey was conducted via email with over 650 respondents.
