BOSTON, Mass., June 24 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Amidst the ever present and growing energy crisis, lurks an even bigger culprit than your father's old gas guzzler. Steam. According to American Plant Maintenance, steam is still a living necessity in a vast majority of U.S. hospitals, power plants and manufacturing facilities, and in spite of its environmentally "green" disposition, is also single handedly responsible for billions of dollars in fuel consumption every year.

The U.S. Department of energy reports that over 45% of all the fuel burned by U.S. manufacturers is consumed to make steam. Making energy losses associated with the inefficient use of steam critical not only to the companies involved but the U.S. economy as a whole.

Bill Doherty, Chief Engineer of American Plant Maintenance, Inc., an energy conservation corporation dedicated to the survey and repair of steam and compressed gas systems, claims the problem stems mainly from a lack of awareness and preventive maintenance.

"The biggest problem here is neglect," says Doherty. "As long as they don't see steam billowing from a pipe, and the equipment they're powering works okay, they don't concern themselves with the efficiency of their system, and that's a costly mistake to make." This mistake potentially cost one New England hospital in excess of $1M in energy losses over the course of 5 years. Money which could have been better spent on critical medical equipment or nursing staff.

Although $1M is a rare scenario, losses in the tens of thousands of dollars annually are very common. "We've seen annual losses range anywhere from $20K to $200K and in today's economy those can be very critical amounts," says Doherty.

Critical or not, they are also amounts that can usually be avoided or significantly reduced by conducting annual steam trap surveys and routine system maintenance. "Our services traditionally cost a fraction of the amounts being lost, and most of our surveys and repairs pay for themselves well within a year," says Doherty. "So it really doesn't make much sense financially, to just ignore these potential problems and assume everything's fine."

According to Doherty, the majority of calculated losses in a steam system are typically found in the systems steam traps, which are devices used to remove condensate (water) and other non-condensable gasses from the steam line. When these devices fail, they can either leak, or plug causing poor system performance and ultimately a large loss of energy. Annual surveys of the system can eventually result in maximum system efficiency and much less of an economic impact.

LA BAULE, France and LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Terry Murphy, President and CEO of California-based solar thermal power company SolarReserve, has been tapped to speak about the future of concentrated solar power at a technology conference to be held later this week. The conference's goal is to foster European expansion and partnership agreements for select companies focusing on energy, technology, entertainment and media, telecommunications, security, and other emerging technology fields. The conference is for U.S.-based companies seeking to expand their distribution to Europe, and is by invitation only.

Launched in 2007, SolarReserve holds the exclusive license for the breakthrough molten salt storage technology developed by HS Rocketdyne, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation. Murphy left Rocketdyne in 2007 to lead the new solar venture. In his 27 years at Rocketdyne, Mr. Murphy developed expertise in systems engineering of space power systems, concentrated solar power, liquid metal heat transport and nuclear power systems. Mr. Murphy earned a BS in Astronautical and Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University and was honored in 2005 with its Outstanding Engineering Award; he also earned an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.

"In the age of skyrocketing oil and natural gas prices, SolarReserve's technology will help us meet the ever-increasing worldwide demand for power while reducing our dependence on fossil fuels," said Murphy. "This clean technology for converting the endless supply of solar power into dispatchable energy will soon become the standard for power generation around the world."

The California Tech Showcase is part of a larger World Investment Conference. The Governors of California and Texas are scheduled to speak, as well as dozens of government officials from countries all over Europe seeking to lure U.S. technology businesses to invest in the region.

About SolarReserve
SolarReserve is a collaboration between United Technologies Corporation (UTC), a Dow 30 conglomerate, and US Renewables Group, a California-based private equity firm focused exclusively on renewable energy. SolarReserve holds the exclusive worldwide license to build state-of-the-art Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants that use a molten salt system manufactured by HS Rocketdyne, a subsidiary of UTC.

SolarReserve's CSP plants capture and focus the sun's thermal energy with thousands of tracking mirrors, or heliostats, onto a central receiver - heating the molten salt to over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heated molten salt then flows into a thermal storage tank where it is stored, maintaining 98% thermal efficiency, and then pumped to a steam generator, creating steam to drive a standard turbine to generate electricity.

This process is revolutionary because it allows renewable and dispatchable energy generation at a utility scale. It does not require any fossil fuels to maintain the system integrity, and therefore has zero harmful emissions.

As countries seek to develop and promote clean, renewable, independent energy resources at a utility scale, SolarReserve offers a breakthrough technology that is economically competitive with modern fossil fuel plants, and which is sheltered from future increases in the price of oil, natural gas, coal, and other fuels.
DALLAS, Texas, April 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- CybeRecord, Inc. (OTC: CYRD), a Delaware corporation, would like to take this opportunity to respond to several shareholder questions. At the present time, CybeRecord, Inc. is still establishing its investor relations department; however, we have received numerous emails from shareholders. We felt it best to address many of the common concerns in this press release, in order to ensure that all investors are updated equally.

Many shareholders have asked about the possibility of a reverse split. The company does not have any plans for a reverse split, and management does not foresee the need to do one in the future. The current corporate structure is sufficient to handle all of the company's upcoming growth plans.

Another question that seems to be of major concern is the outstanding share count, the authorized share count, and whether the authorized is going to increase. As of today, the outstanding share count is 142,283,944, with 100 million restricted shares as stated on the company website (www.cyrdoil.com). The current authorized share count is 250,000,000, and management does not plan to increase the authorized count anytime soon.

We have received several emails asking about potential projects, deals, and strategic plans. At this time CybeRecord, Inc. is still in the transition phase. Management and consultants are hard at work to make the move into the energy field a smooth and successful one. The company is currently conducting due diligence on several potential projects, including acquisitions. Talks are currently underway. We hope to have our strategic outline completed and released by the start of next week. We will continue to keep shareholders apprised of major announcements and developments as they happen.
LEWES, Del., March 17 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Multi-disciplined management consultancy, Inventis Inc, today launched an executive career marketing service for American executives and a solar energy investment initiative in Italy. The executive resume-building, resume marketing service and Italian solar energy opportunities use principles not common to its competitors in either industry.

While other resume writing services end with the creation of the resume, Inventis' executive resume-building and career marketing service goes several steps further. Specifically, an executive benefits from time saved, targeted email marketing and regional media exposure without having to do any of the work. Inventis will write press releases on behalf of the executive, providing them a unique opportunity to showcase potential employers through dedicated newspaper and, potentially, radio or television, by leveraging established press release distribution channels.

Inventis provides five resume levels to suit all budgets and is offering the first 50 clients the chance to target their new Inventis written resumes directly into the personal email inbox of the world's Top 26 headhunters for free.

Inventis is also inviting overseas investors to benefit from the booming solar energy sector in Italy. "If solar park investment vehicles are structured correctly," says Costanzo Ferraro, Founder and President of Inventis, "corporate revenues could potentially be taken tax-free. We have English speaking attorneys in Milan adept in structuring legally acceptable offshore entities."

The 2007 Legislative Decree sanctioned by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development protects private operators to comfortably resell their solar-produced energy to utility companies, energy distributors or on the financial markets.

Inventis project manages the land search and solar park construction from start to finish. Inventis sidestepped bureaucratic hurdles by selling land already approved by local and regional authorities for solar park installations, freeing clients to rapidly build their solar park investment and reap financial advantage of generous feed-in tariffs over a 20 year period. A 1 Megawatt solar park (enough to power 1,000 homes) produces projected annual revenues of EUR620,000 in approximately 18 months.

Costanzo Ferraro comments, "We've developed a win-win opportunity for Italian energy consumers, potential overseas investors and operators and our planet. That's much needed positive news for New Italy."
Agreement will support production of 300 million gallons of biodiesel fuel per year without deforestation or diversion of agricultural production

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines, and MONTEREY, Calif., March 12 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Supreme Council of Datus Alimaong has reached agreement with Monterey, CA-based Abundant Biofuels Corporation (www.abundantbiofuels.com) to develop more than 1.2 million acres of ancestral domain for production of biodiesel from Jatropha curcas in underused Lumad lands on the island of Mindanao.

Dr. Rene Q. Lacsina, president of Abundant Biofuels Philippines, Inc. and an agronomist-scientist, sees this jatropha or tubatuba global venture as a golden opportunity for indigenous Filipinos to show the rest of the nation "...the way to be productive citizens contributing to genuine freedom essential for restoring the nation into justice, righteousness and peace while participating in the lucrative global biofuel industry."

Abundant Biofuels CEO Dr. Charles Fishel stated, "Jatropha is the only biodiesel feedstock that does not divert agricultural land from food production. It has the added advantage of producing 20 times more energy than the energy required to produce it." Fishel adds that, "Most other feedstock consumes almost as much energy in production as the energy it is supposed to supply as fuel."

Under its groundbreaking agreement, Abundant Biofuels will deploy part of its profits for infrastructure development on the island of Mindanao, including improved housing, medical care programs, better schoolroom facilities and resources for people to affirm cultural identities such as music, dance, food, attire and drama.

APO Amay Tawahig, Supreme Datu, Supreme Council of Datus Alimaong, said, "It will be a new day of positive community growth when families and communities can make their land productive and they will be part of gainful employment in providing cleaner and greener alternative energy to the country."
Companies with Largest Reserves Have Poorest Governance

MADRID, Spain - Feb. 21 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Petrobras is the world's most sustainable oil/gas company according to the 5th annual oil/gas ranking by the sustainability research and rating firm Management & Excellence (M&E, Madrid & Sao Paulo).

The M&E ranking, marketed with Oil&Gas Journal Online, measures oil/gas companies' compliance with 387 accepted international standards in sustainability, corporate governance, social responsibility, ethics and transparency. The guidelines are taken from institutions such as SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, national laws, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, OECD, industry benchmarks, GRI, ILO, ISO, EITI, reserves accounting, Global Compact, Millennium Goals, and others. The annual study is considered the most detailed benchmark on sustainability in the industry.

Petrobras, once known for sinking oil rigs and strikes, was re-elected to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, an indicator where StatoilHydro holds the industry record of 79 points. Petrobras' Board consists of all independent directors, except the CEO. The Brazilian company's "Zero Hunger Program" entered into 18,000 partnerships helping nearly 11 million people over the past four years. BP rebounded following the 2005 explosion in its Texas City complex, oil spills in Alaska and the resignation of its former CEO Lord Browne, investing $1.7 billion in its U.S. operations for "integrity and reliability."

Companies with the poorest governance and sustainability practices generally controlled the largest oil/gas reserves. The three state corporations PDVSA, Saudi Aramco and Abu Dhabi NOC in part scored zero in governance but together control 430 billion barrels of oil, compared with ConocoPhilips' 9,4 billion or ExxonMobil's 22.7 billion.
William Gould, Jr. Managed Successful Solar Two Demonstration Project

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Jan. 24 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- SolarReserve, the Los Angeles-based solar thermal power company that has licensed an innovative energy storage technology for on-demand utility-scale solar power, today announced the appointment of William R. Gould, Jr. to serve as Chief Technical Officer.

"Bill's extensive experience and unparalleled technical acumen will be invaluable to us," said Terry Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer of SolarReserve. "His leadership in designing and developing the highly successful Solar Two project in the Mojave Desert - which demonstrated SolarReserve's technology - has made him the leading worldwide expert in the use of molten salt power towers to capture and store solar energy for power generation."

Gould, a licensed Professional Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the engineering, procurement and construction of power plants and power-related systems, has dedicated the past twelve years of his career to solar energy installations. His expertise in solar power is comprehensive, including extensive feasibility work along with design, construction, cost estimation, and financial due diligence on concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies such as power tower and solar trough designs.

"SolarReserve is at the forefront of developing cost-effective, environmentally-friendly CSP technology that will provide a significant portion of the world's clean power in the 21st century" said Gould. "I am proud to have the opportunity to work with world-renowned leaders to advance this revolutionary technology."

Before joining SolarReserve, Gould was principal consultant at Sustainable Energy Projects, LLC, where he advised American and international utilities on the development of solar power tower and trough projects. Prior positions included engineering and project management roles at Bechtel and General Atomic.

Gould also holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University.

About SolarReserve
SolarReserve is a collaboration between United Technologies Corporation (UTC), a Dow 30 conglomerate, and US Renewables Group, a private equity firm focused exclusively on renewable energy. SolarReserve holds the exclusive worldwide license to build state-of-the-art Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants that use equipment manufactured by HS Rocketdyne, a subsidiary of UTC. Rocketdyne, in partnership with the US Department of Energy, has invested $100 million in the design and manufacture of these components to date, and brings a broad base of experience in space, power, and other programs to support the further development and implementation of the CSP technology.

SolarReserve's CSP plants harness and store the sun's power by concentrating energy from thousands of heliostats, or mirrors, that track the sun. The concentrated heat is captured in a receiver and used to heat molten salt to temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heated molten salt then flows to a tank where it is stored and later pumped into a steam generator. The steam then drives a turbine that generates electricity.

This process is revolutionary because it allows renewable energy generation at a utility scale, with SolarReserve's plant capable of providing consumers with a reliable and predictable source of energy at peak hours. The heat storage technology is a critical breakthrough as it allows the matching of electricity generation with electricity demand while maintaining 98% thermal efficiency. The process does not require any fossil fuels to maintain the system integrity, and therefore, has zero harmful emissions.

As countries seek to promote clean, renewable, independent energy resources at an industrial scale, SolarReserve offers a breakthrough technology that is economically competitive with modern fossil fuel plants, and which is sheltered from future increases in the price of oil, natural gas, coal, and other fuels.
Kevin Smith Joins as Chief Operating Officer to Head Development Activities

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Jan. 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- SolarReserve, the Los Angeles-based solar thermal company that has recently commercialized an innovative heat storage technology that provides utility-scale solar power on demand, today announced that Kevin Smith has been hired to serve as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Development.

"Kevin's expertise in developing and building power plants from the ground up is unparalleled," said Terry Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer of SolarReserve. "We are fortunate to have his experience and track record of success in all sectors of the energy industry - wind, natural gas, oil and biomass. He will now be applying that expertise to the solar energy industry with SolarReserve's breakthrough technology."

Smith has more than 20 years of experience in power plant development, acquisitions, financing and construction, having developed and built more than forty power facilities worldwide. Prior to joining SolarReserve, Smith was Senior Vice President of Development at Invenergy LLC. While there, he led the development of Invenergy Wind from a startup company in 2004 to one of the largest privately-owned renewable energy businesses in the world just three years later. By the end of 2007, Invenergy had projects in operation and construction with capital costs estimated at more than $2.0 billion.

This process is revolutionary because it allows renewable and dispatchable energy generation at a utility scale, with SolarReserve's plant capable of providing consumers with a reliable and predictable source of energy at peak hours. The heat storage technology is a critical breakthrough as it allows the matching of electricity generation with electricity demand while maintaining 98% thermal efficiency. The process does not require any fossil fuels to maintain the system integrity, and therefore, has zero harmful emissions.

As countries seek to promote clean, renewable, independent energy resources at a utility scale, SolarReserve offers a breakthrough technology that is economically competitive with modern fossil fuel plants, and which is sheltered from future increases in the price of oil, natural gas, coal, and other fuels.
BOGOTA, COLOMBIA and MONTEREY, Calif. - Oct. 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Oilsource Holding Group (www.oilsourceholding.com) announced that it has joined with Abundant Biofuels Corporation (www.abundantbiofuels.com) to begin producing biodiesel from non-food crops in Colombia. Abundant Biofuels Colombia SRL has identified a strong interest from private and government sector.

"Our goal is to produce biodiesel and biomass for electricity needs in rural areas," said Felipe Cano, CEO of Oilsource Holding, "We will not compete with local palm oil; jatropha will be a smart, complementary alternative for the national Biodiesel Mission.

"The Company plans to plant 100,000 hectares with jatropha curcas. We estimate investment of $45 million. Given our farming experience in Africa, we will diversify the harvesting into four different zones within Colombia. This gives an accurate analysis of the behavior and yields of the plant under different soil conditions." According to Mr. Cano Abundant Biofuels' experience with jatropha in Africa will enable the joint venture to become the dominant producer of biodiesel producing biodiesel from jatropha in Colombia.

Charles Fishel, CEO of Abundant Biofuels added that jatropha is the only biodiesel feedstock that does not does not divert agricultural land from food production. "Jatropha has the added advantage of producing 20 times more energy than the energy that is required to produce it," Fishel said. "Most other feedstocks consume almost as much energy in production as the energy produced."

Mr. Cano concluded, "Alternative special crops available today like jatropha and algae and, in the near future, cellulosic diesel ('designer fuels') made directly from oil and biomass not only make social but economic sense as well."
European plant proves excellence operating within much stricter German environmental regulations

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Sept. 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Eco Capital and Invest, Inc. of Michigan City, Indiana and Green Oil Technologies of Denver, Colorado have made next generation gasification systems available to the North American markets, using the patented German Technology called KUG Thermolysis. Gasification plants convert many types of waste products into gas and electricity cleanly and efficiently. Specifically designed to convert used tires into clean burning, high quality gas in an environmentally friendly process, these plants can easily be converted to gasify waste plastics, paper, biomass, wood waste and certain other waste products that would otherwise wind up in our landfills.

The new patented gasification technology resolves the problems that plagued older processes because of their undesirable byproducts such as exhaust fumes and gases. There have been hundreds of different gasification processes tried over the years and each had problems with environmental or cost issues. The new KUG Thermolysis technology solves these problems while generating valuable by-products such as carbon black and industrial coke that is used in the manufacturing processes of iron and steel.

The gasification process heats a feedstock such as used tires or plastic waste indirectly in an oxygen free environment. This causes a chemical reaction to take place that produces the usable gas. Gas quality or its ability to generate heat is usually measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units) and the quality of the gas generated using the new technology can reach almost 100% of the BTU ratings achieved by natural gas depending on the feed stock used. This makes it perfect for industrial applications to heat boilers, kilns, and other processes where a lot of heat is needed.

The gas can also be used in gas engines and turbines to generate electricity. The added benefit is that because of the internal redundancy in this new technology a complete conversion is achieved which produces a by-product of carbon black or industrial coke. Both of these by-products have excellent commercial value creating additional revenue for the operator.

Gasification should not be confused with incineration which takes place in the presence of oxygen and can produce toxic gases and other waste products that have little if any commercial value and must ultimately be disposed of in our landfills.

In San Diego, Jan Nanning, the representative for Green Oil Technologies, the distributor for Eco Capital in the United States says "We must keep an open mind to advances in technology. The technology continues to improve because we have a clearer understanding of what the past problems were and how to correct them."

There are many potential applications for the use of this new technology. A KUG gasification plant is relatively small and could benefit landfill owners by diverting a substantial amount of landfill trash into gas or electricity; creating an additional revenue stream. Trucking firms with large fleets could recycle (gasify) their own tires, saving the disposal fees, and generating gas or electricity for their own use or for sale to the electrical grid.

A gasification plant that converts about 150 tons of tires per day (an 18 wheeler semi-truck produces a ton of waste tires per year) could produce about 15MW (megawatts) of electricity or enough power to supply about 15,000 to 18,000 average San Diego homes. A basic plant such this would cost around $14 million plus the cost of specialized equipment to process the particular type of feedstock being used and end products being produced. Once operational these plants should realize an 18-24 month payback of their capital investment; a very quick return of start-up costs.
