LONDON, U.K., April 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Specialist communications company SentForever Limited (www.sentforever.com) is offering an unusual alternative to the traditional greetings card by using radio waves rather than paper to convey messages of love, celebration and remembrance.

Personalised messages and announcements can be created online and are transmitted at the speed of light via a dedicated British Telecoms transmission dish situated at the historic Goonhilly earth station in Cornwall, U.K. Each message is designed to last - quite literally - forever: an eternal memory of the sender. Within five hours of transmission, the message leaves the solar system to continue its journey through space and remain in the universe for all time.

According to the U.S. Greeting Card Association, the U.S. greeting card industry is worth over $7.5 billion annually - with the average family purchasing 30 cards every year. Since launching, SentForever's ethereal alternative has been used to relay a plethora of good wishes for all occasions including birthdays, Valentine's day and Mother's day, and even to convey messages intended for the deceased.

The cost of the service starts at 9.95 (approximately $20). Once transmitted, a message can be tracked to see how far it has travelled and the recipient will receive a certificate of transmission detailing its contents; a premium silver service also provides the recipient with a solid silver keepsake. An international service is available.

Chris Thomason of SentForever says: "When we launched SentForever we assumed people would send messages for all the traditional greeting card occasions. However, we were very surprised to find that a significant number of people sent Valentine's Day and Mother's Day cards to people who were deceased."

"Because we transmit people's special messages into the heavens where they will exist for the rest of eternity, people may feel they are making connections with their deceased loved ones. Perhaps our transmissions are seen as a modern form of prayer for people who see themselves as being more spiritual than religious."

About SentForever Limited
SentForever.com was established in January 2008 and is based in Surrey, U.K. The business is solely involved in eternal communications. The company is privately owned and operated by Chris Thomason, an innovation consultant, and Stephanie Baillache, former head of marketing for a high street bank. The U.S. is the second highest per capita usage of greetings cards in the world with only the U.K. higher at 55 cards per year.
CHICAGO, Ill., April 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- On the heels of last year's farewell tour of the King Tut exhibit starts this year's tour of the gilded likeness of talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey. The Oprah Burial Mask will debut in Chicago April 24th, near Oprah's Harpo Studios at GARDENfresh Gallery, courtesy of NYC's Leo Kesting Gallery.

"The Oprah Burial Mask depicts for the viewer a celebration of an inner beauty for which we could all aspire," says gallery director David Kesting of the life-sized hollowed bust. "If we each imagined an object that represented us at our most ideal for all eternity, we might hold ourselves to the highest standards, both morally and spiritually."

"Standing before the burial mask of King Tut's great-grandmother when it was displayed in Philadelphia, I finally understood how the creation of an object could be the act of preparing for a better place. It inspired me to create such an object," explains the artist, whose favorite reference for his contemporary burial mask was a photo of Oprah Winfrey praying. "I tried to depict the feeling of inner peace that was so evident on Oprah's face in that photo."

What would Oprah say?
In a book titled "The Oprah Sarcophagus" (ISBN: 1438206429), available at Amazon.com, Edwards describes how he found himself contriving an imaginary e-mail exchange between himself, Oprah, Dr. Phil and Gayle King, in order to make sure he designed a sarcophagus of which Oprah might approve. "I don't always write these exchanges down, sometimes I can just hear the conversations in my head."

Edwards's previous sculptures include a nude Britney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug, an interactive autopsy of Paris Hilton with removable organs, and a war dead Prince Harry clutching the cameo-locket of his late mother Princess Diana.

The Oprah Burial Mask is being offered for auction at www.leokesting.com/auction/. Coffee mugs, T-shirts, and tote bags for the sarcophagus can also be purchased at the gallery's website.

PRESS unveiling at GARDENfresh Gallery is April 24th, 11:00 AM, at 119 N. Peoria St., phone 312-235-2246. Contact David Kesting at 917-650-3760 or John Leo at 917-292-8865.
NEW YORK and LONDON, England - Oct. 3 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Prince Harry is the symbolic hero of a monument encouraging empathy for the Iraq War in the latest work by controversial New York sculptor, Daniel Edwards. The statue featuring Prince Harry will be unveiled at London's Trafalgar Hotel October 11th during the Bridge Art Fair, courtesy of Capla Kesting Fine Art of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Edwards, known for his previous works which include a nude Britney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug, an interactive autopsy of Paris Hilton with removable organs, and a cleavage revealing Hillary Clinton as President elect of the 2008 election, suggests "There seems to be an increasing apathy in regard to the war in Iraq. Maybe this monument can inspire more people to speak up, and pay closer attention to the war."

"Prince Harry was willing to join the war effort and, in the process, encouraged others to become more involved," says David Kesting of Capla Kesting Fine Art. "This tribute recognizes Prince Harry's contributions."

The gallery has also provided the website PrinceHarryMemorial.com to give people a forum for expressing their thoughts concerning the war. "We would like to see people fight the growing apathy," says Capla Kesting's John Leo.

The Iraq War Memorial, which features Prince Harry laid out before the Union Jack with a bouquet of red roses filling his helmet, draws inspiration from Harry's willingness to sacrifice for his country, and the sympathy for his disappointment of an unfulfilled patriotic aspiration.

PROFESSIONAL PREVIEW for the event is held at the Trafalgar Hotel, room 118, October 11th from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., with a reception for the public from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m..
Over 42 contestants took part in the Golden Palace world gurning competition. The crowd watched in awe as Tommy Mattinson, gurning great and champion for an impressive 10th consecutive year, gurned himself another trophy. Coming in second place was Gordon Blacklock, and third was Alan (Happy) Hornell.

To select the greatest Gurner, competitors put their faces through a horse's collar, the audience applauds, and whoever receives the greatest applause wins.

Golden Palace CEO Richard Rowe jokingly said: "A lot of people made a face when they heard Golden Palace was sponsoring the event."

Golden Palace has devised some of the most exciting and outrageous advertising campaigns in the past few years. Items such as the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Pope Benedict XVI's VW Golf, Britney Spears' Pregnancy Test, and William Shatner's Kidney Stone have garnered extensive worldwide media attention for the casino. Golden Palace has also used their items and marketing reach to raise awareness and over $1,000,000 for various charities worldwide.
NYC Residents Launching High-Tech Post 9-11 Neighborhood Watch Program

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Sept. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Capla Kesting Fine Art announced plans to build a 10-foot-tall cell tower designed to capture, monitor and rebroadcast wireless signals in the internet-savvy neighborhood of Williamsburg Brooklyn. The tower, named "CIA Cell Tower" will be constructed at 121 Roebling Street and unveiled during the Conflux Festival, an event organized to promote awareness of the city.

Possible terrorist cells close to the east river are targeted as candidates for Wi-Fi "eavesdropping" to ensure our safety. Proponents of the tower point to the August 3rd scare of a homemade submarine coming within striking distance of The Queen Mary 2 which was docked on the Brooklyn side of the East River.

"Though they are not involved in the construction or operation of the tower, government agencies such as the NSA and the CIA can benefit from its use," said John Leo from Capla Kesting Fine Art whose gallery contracted the construction of the tower based on illustrations and paintings from their exhibiting artist Travis Lindquist. "It is not an invasion of privacy but, a symbol of how far our government is willing to go to ensure our private space is an extension of their ability to protect us."

Local developers competing for rental and loft sale revenue have been offering free wireless internet services as an attractive addition to their properties, unknowingly exposing themselves and their users to potential snooping.

"Developers are prime candidates for assisting in the use of this tower, they will provide a broad spectrum of internet users to spy on and the unsecured wireless signal in which to use," said David Kesting, director of the Capla Kesting Fine Art gallery.

Congress' recently approved changes to the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act allows the NSA to monitor domestic conversations and e-mails and provides the legal standing for the cell tower's construction.

"The tower allows groups like the NSA to collect data intercepted through e-mails and internet traffic on unsecured Wi-Fi connections without having to approach internet service providers such as AT&T Inc. This will eliminate the U.S. government's alleged complicity in current class-action lawsuits filed by consumers who feel their privacy has been violated," explained John Leo.

Construction of the cell tower started today, the 6th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and will finish for an unveiling on Friday, September 14th at 7:00 PM at Capla Kesting Fine Art, 121 Roebling St., Brooklyn, N.Y. Travis Lindquist's exhibition, Times Like This One, will be on display until September 23. Gallery hours are 1:00 - 6:00 PM Thursday thru Monday, or by appointment.

Media contact for the gallery, John Leo can be reached at 917-292-8865 or gallery director David Kesting at 917-650-3760 or via email at info@caplakesting(.com) and online at www.caplakesting.com.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Dec. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- "Churches and Temples are no longer safe in America," says Reverend Craig X Rubin of Temple 420, who was arrested November 8, 2006, at his religious establishment by over one dozen heavily armed officers of the LAPD. "If they can do this to us, they can do it to any church that the government disagrees with." The Reverend known for his reoccurring role on Showtime's hit series "Weeds" said arresting officers did not treat Temple clergymen as required by California Penal Codes 1524 and 1525.

The investigation of Reverend Rubin began only days earlier. An undercover officer joined Temple 420 on November 3, 2006, and immediately purchased 3.5 grams of sacrament, "PurpleErkle."

*(Photo Caption: Reverend Rubin is known as the General Pharmer.)

This was the basis of the arrest warrant for defendant Rubin; the seizure of all sacrament and money from the church; and, the freezing of all financial assets before conviction. As a result, Temple 420 may be forced to close.

(Note: Video of the arrest is available at: youtube.com/watch?v=Mw8W4wJcGOg ).

"What if this was my church?" Rubin's lawyer asked.

A key tenet of Temple 420 is that members receive communion by burning a sacramental herb, marijuana. However, the plant contains the hallucinogen, THC, regulated under the Controlled Substances Act by the Federal Government; the sect is currently being barred from engaging in the practice of its religion on the grounds that it violates the California Health & Safety code.

Temple 420 claims the Religious Freedom Restoration Act affirmed by the Supreme Court for protection. By law the Government is prohibited from substantially burdening a person's exercise of religion, unless the Government demonstrates that application of the burden to the person represents the least restrictive means of advancing a 'compelling interest.' This was affirmed in the case of "Gonzales v. O Centro Espirita Beneficiente Uniao Do Vegetal" when the church's Schedule I hallucinogenic sacrament was seized. But, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of the church's sacrament being returned and them being allowed to continue their religious practices.

Temple 420 has retained civil rights attorney La'Chelle Monique Woodert, who plans not only to defend the church, but to then help the Temple sue the city for violating Temple 420's religious freedom rights when they beat the criminal charges.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Dec. 4 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The world of Hollywood Television can be the meeting place of some very different people, on the surface that is. Take the case of Craig X Rubin and rap star Snoop Dogg. The latter has a worldwide "raputation" while the former is the Reverend and founder of Temple 420, a Bible-based, Judeo-Christian sect, which believes that pot is a religious herb, as discussed in Revelation 22. How are they similar? They are both stars on Showtime's hit cable series "Weeds" and the only two characters to play themselves. Something else in common: trouble with the law.

In the case of Rubin, his plight began in early November when his "Weeds" rep and Temple 420 intersected, of course, in Hollywood at the Temple's headquarters. The day Kevin Nealon joked on morning television about "Craig X" being the marijuana consultant that makes his show "Weeds" so real, undercover LAPD Officer Trayce Fields decided to join Temple 420.

In a scene that would have been appropriate for "Weeds," the Reverend, his son and an unnamed employee were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and sales on November 8, 2006. They will be arraigned in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 6.

Rubin and company assert that they are protected by law under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993. In a Supreme Court ruling "Gonzales v. O Centro Espirita" the court ruled a Jewish man, Jeffery Bronfman, who had joined a sect of Christians who used a Schedule I hallucinogen for religious purposes should get his drugs back. The court had discovered that Bronfman had been importing and disseminating the illegal drug DMT to church members for years for religious purposes. Yet, they ruled to return 100% of his religious sacrament.

"This is a serious issue regarding religious freedom in America and whether or not it still exists," Reverend Rubin said. "Every act of Temple 420 that the LAPD deemed criminal is protected by state and federal law and we'll prevail in court."

To raise awareness about this issue, Temple 420 put up a video of the arrest on YouTube.com, http://youtube.com/watch?v=Mw8W4wJcGOg

It is listed under "General Pharmer" because Reverend Rubin is leading a civil war and knows cannabis is a healing plant.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Nov. 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- aethereal FORGE announces that Ninja lovers around the world will be celebrating the fourth annual Day of the Ninja this December 5. On this day, individuals are encouraged to dress up like ninja, participate in ninja-related activities, and spread ninja propaganda via the Internet.

The Day of the Ninja was created in 2003 as a response to that year's December 5 release of the Tom Cruise film entitled The Last Samurai (which featured a scene where samurai battled ninja). On a larger scale, the holiday is seen as a response to the popular International Talk Like a Pirate Day, celebrated every September 19.

"There is a popular Internet meme that establishes a rivalry between pirates and ninja," said Michael Fiegel, creator of the Day of the Ninja. "Pirates are loud, flashy, rude and crude, and ninja represent the extreme opposite. It only seems fair that they should each get their own holiday."

For obvious reasons, the Day of the Ninja is not called "International Talk Like a Ninja Day," as ninja are known for silence rather than speech. Alternative names for the holiday have crept up however, with some referring to the day as "Walk Like a Ninja Day" or "Creep Like a Ninja Day."

This year's Day of the Ninja will also mark the long-awaited release of the Ask a Ninja DVD, a compilation of the popular Ask a Ninja podcast from the award-winning askaninja.com website.
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Nov. 10 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Somewhere in Brooklyn lurks a cult that has been sadistically invading the home, mind and body of New York writer Ellis Beyda through harmful implants, into his eyes and other body parts, for the last 10 years. In the summer of 2007 he plans to release a book - "Evil Eyes Evil Minds" - that will tell all.

According to Beyda, this terrorist cult must be prosecuted for their alleged criminal actions which involve physical and mental torture of horrific proportions; murder was also attempted on his life on several occasions.

"Not only has my life been threatened, but even my home is no longer a safe sanctuary," Beyda explained. "Through illegal wiretapping and hidden camera placements, my privacy is a thing of the past; nowhere is safe."

The author has two homes - one in Brooklyn and one in Florida - and according to Beyda, this group has invaded both locations through their illegal spy techniques.

After many attempts to request that the implants be removed and his privacy restored, Beyda did not make any progress with this sadistic group, and therefore seeks to expose them in his upcoming book.

"I have spoken with several witnesses to these hideous crimes, and these people are reluctant to come forward until they are subpoenaed to do so," Beyda said. "I know that they will talk once legal action is taken."

Beyda is convinced that these witnesses will help to bring these evil terrorists to justice. He hopes that his upcoming book will also protect others from being exposed to such tortuous tactics and reduce the number of victims that have been preyed upon by this terrorist organization.

For more information about the upcoming book, "Evil Eyes Evil Minds," contact Ellis Beyda at: 305-322-1405.
Original Plans For Central Park Unveiling Reconsidered

MIAMI, Fla. - Nov. 6 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Plans for an unveiling in New York's Central Park of Fidel Castro on his 'deathbed' have instead turned into plans for the deconstruction of his effigy in Miami, where he will be prematurely laid to rest. Capla Kesting Fine Arts announces the unveiling of "Fidel Castro's Deathbed Portrait" has been reconsidered by the artist, courtesy of the Miami FM morning show El Traketeo on WRTO 98.3 who protested the sculpture and arranged for the artist to come to their studio to hear the testimonies from several dozen Cuban exiles.

A ceremony for deconstruction of Castro's Deathbed Portrait will take place in Miami, November 8th at a time and location designated by WRTO.

Rumors about a continuation of plans regarding the Central Park event existed, though the gallery who represents the artist confirms those plans have been dissolved.

*(Photo Caption: The colossal scaled clay model for "Fidel Castro's Deathbed Portrait" by Daniel Edwards, slated for deconstruction in Miami November 8th.)

"We had acquired a permit for the original event and considered using it for the opportunity to lay a wreath for Jose Marti at the base of the monument for him," said gallery director David Kesting, "But it was decided that would cause too much confusion. We want to show our support for Daniel Edwards's decision to cancel his Park unveiling."

After hearing hours of face to face testimony from Cuban people who have suffered under Castro, Edwards said on the air at WRTO, "I'm only sorry I wasn't aware of all that pain before my project started. After hearing all these painful accounts, in good conscience, as a friend of the Cuban-American communities, I cannot show the sculpture in Central Park."

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Oct. 25 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- This may be one for the X-Files; author Ellis Beyda, of the soon to be released book "Evil Eyes Evil Minds," challenges the commandment: "Love thy neighbor as you would yourself." According to the author, there is a Jewish underground Sephardic Orthodox Cult located in Brooklyn, New York, that allegedly "hates thy neighbor." In fact, Beyda was so struck by their twisted and allegedly criminal tactics to destroy their neighbors and him, that he decided to write a book about it.

While the tactics of this group may seem to be out of the script of a sci-fi movie, Beyda claims that the group is dangerous and other-worldly criminal behavior is taking place.

"They put implants into a person's brain, eyes and other body parts, while they are sleeping, or even awake," Beyda claims.

"Sounds terrifying, doesn't it? I think this might be a criminal precedent, in the halls of justice."

Beyda has not only researched this group but has also, he claims, been the victim of such ghastly activities first-hand for ten years now. He claims that the "brain implants" can read minds and then transmit those thoughts to the cult members; eye implants transmit images.

"I have visited the local police precinct on several occasions, but they would not allow me to file a report," Beyda said. "It sounded too far fetched for them to believe. I even visited a psychiatrist who also did not believe what I was attempting to reveal."

Most people would agree; however, Beyda is convinced that unknowing subjects are falling prey to this cult and claims that it is his public duty to expose them "as criminals and millionaire sadists with nothing else to do but hurt an innocent person to watch him suffer and make him broke. That they did by shooting my brains when I had important decisions to make for ten years, going on 11."

According to Beyda, the cult has attempted to murder him four times; has used EMF rays on him so he could not concentrate; has allegedly forced him to go on disability; and to lose his family, friends, and job. He even relocated from New York to Florida, but Beyda indicates that the cult allegedly followed him there and was able to quickly wire the condominium where he was living.

Beyda discovered his eye implants on a dark night while looking through his telescope. He observed a glowing object in the mirror and upon further examination discovered a glowing sphere planted into each eye; he was terrified.

"They also 'cooked' me, with microwaves, like a fried chicken," he claims. "They also had their microscopic cameras and microphones all over the house in Brooklyn. Also in my condo in Florida and in my car, to follow me wherever I go; here in New York or Florida also."

"Evil Eyes Evil Minds," scheduled to be released in the summer of 2007, will describe these alleged torture tactics and expose the cult's alleged depraved indifference to human life.

"Ten years is long enough, I have to somehow bring about justice," Beyda explained, "and, I hope that 'Evil Eyes Evil Minds,' will provide me with the venue to do so."

Inspiration for the gilded head of Castro, large enough to belong to a 25 foot man, comes from Harlem, New York's acclamation for Castro's contributions to civil rights. "Harlem is perhaps the only community in the U.S. that proclaims an admiration for Castro - the Central Park unveiling of his portrait is an attempt to bring Harlem's adoration for Castro to the rest of the world," said a spokesman for the unveiling.

Depiction of the ailing Cuban icon was made with deference to the conflicting points of view between Harlem and Miami, explained spokesman, David Kesting. "With respect to Harlem, the portrait celebrates Castro's humanitarianism and with respect to Miami, it celebrates the end of a long regime," said Kesting.

Reportedly, Miami's Little Havana celebrated in the streets to wild rumors from anti-Castro exiles that Castro had died while Harlem celebrated Castro's 80th birthday in August. The portrait of Castro is scheduled for display in Miami by Capla Kesting Fine Arts in early December.

Harlem's friendship with Castro started in 1960 when he was famously evicted from Manhattan's Shelburne Hotel and then welcomed by Harlem's Hotel Theresa. The Shelburne Hotel was extended the opportunity to exhibit Castro's portrait as a way to make amends to the Cuban President for the eviction, but the hotel firmly declined the offer.

Artist Daniel Edwards, who was also inspired by final visits to his ailing grandfather, said, "When I saw him on his deathbed I remembered only the good things."

A short documentary about the "deathbed portrait" titled "Castro in Central Park," produced by Goodnight Film and directed by Argentine-born filmmaker A.D. Calvo, appears on YouTube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zGNXLexxT8.

Location for the unveiling of "Castro's Deathbed Portrait" is just west of Wollman rink and north of Central Park's Artist's Gate entrance on 59th street between Columbus Circle and Grand Army Plaza.
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Sept. 1 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Capla Kesting Gallery announced today that the Daniel Edwards sculpture of Suri Cruise's first poop in bronze, which has been covered internationally in the press this week and was the most e-mailed photo on Yahoo! on Thursday, is now back on eBay. The auction will benefit the March of Dimes charity.

The auction, which had risen to nearly $10,000, was cancelled due to a listing technicality by the gallery, but has been re-listed today, and can be found by searching on www.eBay.com for item # 200023169600.

Daniel Edwards has been recognized worldwide for his notable artistic works, that make both political statements and raise eyebrows over celebrity and political subject matter.

Casting of the bronze baby poop with a brass plate engraved with baby Suri's name, comes at a time when Tom Cruise is increasingly known for his eccentricity. Capla Kesting assures the trend for bronzing baby poop isn't so eccentric and simply follows the popularity of the critically acclaimed children's book, "Everybody Poops."

Recption for Suri's bronze baby poop and presentation of the proceeds raised by Capla Kesting Fine Art for March of Dimes will be held September 8th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 121 Roebling St., Brooklyn.

The gallery can be reached at www.caplakesting.com or by phone at 917-650-3760.
Unusual sculpture honors the national trend for Gen X parents to bronze their baby's 'first poop'
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Aug. 29 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Today, the Capla Kesting Fine Art gallery in New York announced the latest work by noted sculptor Daniel Edwards, famous for his celebrity-inspired themes, which depicts an interpretive "bronze casting of Suri Cruise's first poop." The natural and inoffensive sculpture in bronze will be on display at the gallery in September and auctioned on eBay for the March of Dimes charity.

Edwards' internationally lauded (sometimes lambasted) work is rarely for sale or auction and is a unique opportunity for those appreciating both satire, social commentary and genuine fine art to enjoy a chuckle and help a worthwhile charity.

The Sculpture is partially inspired by the best-selling picture book "Everybody Poops" by author Taro Gomi, and also the absurdity of the media coverage on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' new baby, Suri Cruise which has reached stellar proportions, eclipsing far more notable events with more substance.

It's partially a statement on modern media that "celebrity poop" has more entertainment value than health, famine or other critical issues facing society and governments today.

A reception and presentation of the proceeds raised by Capla Kesting Fine Art for March Of Dimes will be held September 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 at 121 Roebling St., Brooklyn. The gallery can be reached at www.caplakesting.com or by phone at 917-650-3760.
