Hollywood Judeo-Christian Cannabis Church Forced to Close; Arrested Reverend Claims Civil and Religious Rights Violated

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Dec. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- "Churches and Temples are no longer safe in America," says Reverend Craig X Rubin of Temple 420, who was arrested November 8, 2006, at his religious establishment by over one dozen heavily armed officers of the LAPD. "If they can do this to us, they can do it to any church that the government disagrees with." The Reverend known for his reoccurring role on Showtime's hit series "Weeds" said arresting officers did not treat Temple clergymen as required by California Penal Codes 1524 and 1525.

The investigation of Reverend Rubin began only days earlier. An undercover officer joined Temple 420 on November 3, 2006, and immediately purchased 3.5 grams of sacrament, "PurpleErkle."

This was the basis of the arrest warrant for defendant Rubin; the seizure of all sacrament and money from the church; and, the freezing of all financial assets before conviction. As a result, Temple 420 may be forced to close.

"What if this was my church?" Rubin's lawyer asked.

A key tenet of Temple 420 is that members receive communion by burning a sacramental herb, marijuana. However, the plant contains the hallucinogen, THC, regulated under the Controlled Substances Act by the Federal Government; the sect is currently being barred from engaging in the practice of its religion on the grounds that it violates the California Health & Safety code.

Temple 420 claims the Religious Freedom Restoration Act affirmed by the Supreme Court for protection. By law the Government is prohibited from substantially burdening a person's exercise of religion, unless the Government demonstrates that application of the burden to the person represents the least restrictive means of advancing a 'compelling interest.' This was affirmed in the case of "Gonzales v. O Centro Espirita Beneficiente Uniao Do Vegetal" when the church's Schedule I hallucinogenic sacrament was seized. But, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of the church's sacrament being returned and them being allowed to continue their religious practices.

Temple 420 has retained civil rights attorney La'Chelle Monique Woodert, who plans not only to defend the church, but to then help the Temple sue the city for violating Temple 420's religious freedom rights when they beat the criminal charges.

Hollywood Star Risking Jail for Jesus This Holiday Season

Take the case of Craig X Rubin and rap star Snoop Dogg. The court had discovered that Bronfman had been importing and disseminating the illegal drug DMT to church members for years for religious purposes. Yet, they ruled to return 100% of his religious sacrament.

Brooklyn Writer Seeks to Expose Local Cult that Has Allegedly Destroyed His Life

"I have visited the local police precinct on several occasions, but they would not allow me to file a report," Beyda said. "It sounded too far fetched for them to believe. I even visited a psychiatrist who also did not believe what I was attempting to reveal."

Most people would agree; however, Beyda is convinced that unknowing subjects are falling prey to this cult and claims that it is his public duty to expose them "as criminals and millionaire sadists with nothing else to do but hurt an innocent person to watch him suffer and make him broke. That they did by shooting my brains when I had important decisions to make for ten years, going on 11."

According to Beyda, the cult has attempted to murder him four times; has used EMF rays on him so he could not concentrate; has allegedly forced him to go on disability; and to lose his family, friends, and job. He even relocated from New York to Florida, but Beyda indicates that the cult allegedly followed him there and was able to quickly wire the condominium where he was living.

Beyda discovered his eye implants on a dark night while looking through his telescope. He observed a glowing object in the mirror and upon further examination discovered a glowing sphere planted into each eye; he was terrified.

"They also 'cooked' me, with microwaves, like a fried chicken," he claims. "They also had their microscopic cameras and microphones all over the house in Brooklyn. Also in my condo in Florida and in my car, to follow me wherever I go; here in New York or Florida also."

Castro's 'Last Visit' to Central Park: 'Deathbed Portrait' of Fidel as Humanitarian Goes on Display in NY

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Oct. 24 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Capla Kesting Fine Art announced that an unveiling in Central Park of Fidel Castro on his "deathbed" may be the last opportunity to say "farewell" to the man some revere as a champion of civil rights. "Fidel Castro's Deathbed Portrait," described as a colossal portrait of a solemn Castro at rest, will be unveiled at 10:00 am November 8th, just north of the monument for Cuban poet, Jose Marti.

Inspiration for the gilded head of Castro, large enough to belong to a 25 foot man, comes from Harlem, New York's acclamation for Castro's contributions to civil rights. "Harlem is perhaps the only community in the U.S. that proclaims an admiration for Castro - the Central Park unveiling of his portrait is an attempt to bring Harlem's adoration for Castro to the rest of the world," said a spokesman for the unveiling.

Depiction of the ailing Cuban icon was made with deference to the conflicting points of view between Harlem and Miami, explained spokesman, David Kesting. "With respect to Harlem, the portrait celebrates Castro's humanitarianism and with respect to Miami, it celebrates the end of a long regime," said Kesting.

Reportedly, Miami's Little Havana celebrated in the streets to wild rumors from anti-Castro exiles that Castro had died while Harlem celebrated Castro's 80th birthday in August. The portrait of Castro is scheduled for display in Miami by Capla Kesting Fine Arts in early December.

Harlem's friendship with Castro started in 1960 when he was famously evicted from Manhattan's Shelburne Hotel and then welcomed by Harlem's Hotel Theresa. The Shelburne Hotel was extended the opportunity to exhibit Castro's portrait as a way to make amends to the Cuban President for the eviction, but the hotel firmly declined the offer.

Artist Daniel Edwards, who was also inspired by final visits to his ailing grandfather, said, "When I saw him on his deathbed I remembered only the good things."
