Free News Headline Feed for Webmasters
Add free news headlines to your Website from any or all of our news topics in under five minutes. It's as simple as copy-pasting a block of HTML code into the body of your Web page(s). On this page you can get the HTML to add our news to your site, and you can also see examples of how to customize the feed's colors, sizes, and fonts to match your layout.
Simply select all of the code in the box below (click inside box, then CTRL+A), then copy-paste (CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste) from the box into your HTML page.
Modify as needed to match your site colors. You can also modify the feed to have fewer headlines (e.g., default is 10 headlines and summaries, but you could have as few as 5 if you wish). See "how to" below.
Version #1: Get the Code for this Topic,
"NonProfit & Charities News":
Example of Version #2 code as it would appear on your Website. Modified to 200px wide and smaller fonts:
NonProfit & Charities News from Send2Press Newswire
Simple Customization
Customizing the above code for your site colors is very simple, assuming you already understand the basics of HTML, such as color codes and using tables.
Examples:
Changing Width from 100% to Fixed Width
Find the first line in the above code that says <table width="100%"> and change to the width in pixels that you wish, such
as <table width="200">. Note that if you "nest" this code inside an existing table cell that is 200 pixels wide (or any size), the "Version 1" code will automatically fit without modification.
Changing Number of Headlines and Summaries to Display
Simply change this code from '10' to '5' note, maximum is 10.
syndicate.max_articles = '10';
syndicate.max_articles = '5';
Changing Default Header
All of our headline feeds have a default "header" such as Book News, which you can change to suit your website. Some examples might be News on the Web, News from Send2Press Newswire, or simply Book & Publishing News. To change, simply find the words in the first table cell and change to what you want. You must include attribution for the feed as "Send2Press Newswire" either above or below the feed.
Changing Text Colors and Fonts
To change colors, you need to know the hexcode (ie., "#000000" is black),
and then simply change the code to whatever color you wish. If you experiment with this a little, you can "dial in" exactly what you need to match your Website look and feel.
default text code: (black)
syndicate.summary_fontcolor = '#000000';
