Rand Imaging Center Awarded ACR Accreditation

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Rand Imaging Center, an Arlington Heights based provider of diagnostic medical imaging services, announces the award of Accreditation for its Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services, received from the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR awards its accreditation only to diagnostic imaging facilities that demonstrate the highest practice standards based on stringent survey criteria. The evaluation survey is conducted by peer board certified physicians, who are experts in the field of diagnostic imaging. These experts assess the facility equipment, quality of images, and qualifications of the physicians and technologists.
The 30,000 members of the American College of Radiology include Radiologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Physicists. According to ACR member Stephen Greenberg, M.D., of East River Medical Imaging, New York City, "We believe accreditation is the most effective mechanism for demonstrating to peers, colleagues and regulatory bodies that the practice provides the highest level of patient care."
