Sports Enthusiasts Launch of Million Fan Challenge Pixel Ad Website Put NFL Football Fans to The Test While Benefiting RCOA
Wed, 01 Mar 2006, 15:32:00 EDT
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Two football fanatics from Indiana, Norman J Scott, a web/multimedia developer and Greg Whited, a licensed real estate agent, have launched a new sports website (www.millionfanchallenge.com) to unite football fans all across the world by utilizing a marketing phenomenon created by a college student from Florida. Their website allows them to link a business, organization, club, blog, etc. and promote it worldwide while supporting a favorite team's spirit.
This marketing venture is a chance for a website to be viewed by millions of football fans everyday accompanied by virtually unlimited growth potential. The challenge is to bring together a million football fans while promoting businesses and services worldwide. With its structured 5 year worldwide ad campaign, it's destined to be a top ranked site for the sports/football community with its wide appeal. We've made supreme efforts to market this site throughout the US as a promotional venture. Our launch date was Feb 6th, 2006, the day after Super Bowl XL.
A New Wave of Marketing has hit the internet called Micro Ads (pixel advertising). Imagine a webpage full of team supporters from businesses to loyal fans all across the world bringing sharing their love of the game. This is a website for the fans to make there mark and show they are loyal to there team, win or lose. Micro ads have been proven to be the new cost effective solution for internet and brick and mortar businesses. Cleverly placed ads and size will increase traffic to any website.
We have three teams in our challenge - 2005 AFC South Division Champions Indianapolis Colts, Super Bowl XL Champions Pittsburgh Steelers and 2005 NFC Conference Champions Seattle Seahawks. They simply choose their favorite team and get linked to their website. For as little as $10, they will become a part of history and their ad will be placed for a period of 5 years. A portion of revenue generated through The Million Fan Challenge website to be donated to Red Cross of America for National Disaster Relief.
What are Micro Ads?
What you see on your computer screen every day is millions of little dots that make up the letter, words and images on your screen. Each one of these dots is called a pixel. The average letter will fit into about a 10x10 square of pixels. These pixels are available to post an ad and link to a website.
The pixels are available in 100-pixel 'blocks' (each measuring 10x10 pixels). The homepage is divided into 12,000 of these 100-pixel blocks (for a total of 1,200,000 pixels). The reason for selling them in 100-pixel blocks is because anything smaller would be too small to display anything effectively.
They can buy as many pixels as they'd like, as long as there are some available. When they buy some pixels, they can then display an image/ad/logo of their choice in the space they have purchased. They can also have the image click through to their own website.
