USA TODAY MileTracker(TM) Further Distances Itself from the Competition!

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- DeskPort Technologies announced today that USA TODAY MileTracker (www.MileTracker.com), the free application allowing travelers to easily track their frequent flier mileage and points, has added nine more programs, bringing the total programs indexed to 109. This is over 40 more programs than offered by other pay-for-use services.
 "Almost 40,000 users now track over 180,000 loyalty programs via MileTracker," says Harris Turner, the President of DeskPort Technologies, which developed the program in conjunction with USATODAY.com. "Our service continues to grow as we add more programs and our users have come to appreciate the simple and secure nature of MileTracker."

MileTracker, residing on the user's PC, securely maintains the user's account data in a profile that allows for automated updating. With a couple of clicks, DeskPort sends out a data request to all applicable sites, automatically inserts the required account information, and returns the account data for viewing on the computer desktop. "This thing is great!" says Scott Weaver, a long-time user of MileTracker.
"It used to take a lot of effort and a lot of time to check all my frequent flier balances. MileTracker does it in seconds and I don't have to remember all my passwords, PINs, usernames, and such. It even provides direct links to all the airlines & other sites, where it logs me in automatically."
 USA TODAY MileTracker Forum, a new service from MileTracker, is an opt-in group of MileTracker users who will provide feedback on specific issues of interest to travel providers, in exchange for miles or points in the programs. "MileTracker users are the highest level travelers in the world, with combined account balances averaging over 740,000 miles/points a year," Turner notes. "Our Forum members will be able to provide feedback and opinion on topics of value to the travel industry and beyond."
