A Faery Hunt! O.C. Announces Final Weeks

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - July 21 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- A Faery Hunt! O.C., the interactive theatrical experience that has entertained hundreds of children over the summer, announced today that the faeries and other magical creatures are leaving the enchanted lawns of Huntington Beach Central Park for the season. The final performance is slated for Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. The hunt begins where Central Park Drive ends on the western side of the park, just east of Edwards Street.

As A Faery Hunt! O.C. is taking leave of the park, the production is preparing to re-create the experience for presentation in the school system. "This is a play with positive life-messages for children," explained producer Cynthia Milenkovich. "Children all over Orange County need to get up from their video games, take a break from television, and immerse themselves in the playgrounds of their imaginations."

Ms. Milenkovich also added that A Faery Hunt! O.C. is actively seeking private funding to subsidize performing the show in schools throughout Orange County that may be under-funded for bringing in theatrical programs. "We intend to keep and perhaps even increase the interactive opportunities in the show for performance in schools. We need to reach children who might otherwise never get an opportunity to participate in a theatrical experience."

There's still availability for attending the park show, in spite of several weeks of sold-out performances, claims Milenkovich. This is one of the best opportunities for children to have their first theatrical experience because it is absolutely interactive." Thanks to an ensemble of professional actors who are "...brilliant at improv..." children are encouraged to make contributions to the dialogue and respond to the faeries and other characters as they move across the park grounds-which is the open-air set for the hunt.

A Faery Hunt! (Los Angeles) continues its non-stop run under the direction of Debbie Rothstein in the seclusion of Franklin Canyon.
