1950's Airplane Hangar to Host Cutting-Edge Design and Architecture Show
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Jan. 26 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- For the past three years, the annual CA Boom Design Show (www.caboomshow.com) has been a must-attend event for both the design trade and savvy consumers of good design. This year, CA Boom 4 will showcase an impressive line-up of fine furniture designers, architects and furniture manufacturers, many of whom will be bringing products that are World, North American or West Coast debuts.
"Good design isn't just for the elite, but the well-informed," says CA Boom founder/executive producer Charles M. Trotter. "CA Boom brings early adopters, both trade and consumers, face to face with independent designers and manufacturers who are debuting new products, showcasing their businesses and exemplifying new ways of how we live and how we work."

CA Boom 4: The West Coast Independent Design Show runs from March 30 to April 1, 2007, at the Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar, with Friday, March 30 being a new "trade-only" day. Also new this year, the floor plan will group related products and services together by discipline including Prefab, Fine Furnishings, Materials, Surfaces & Finishes, Giftware & Accessories, Modern Parenting and Indoor/Outdoor Living. http://www.caboomshow.com/exhibitors/index.php .
In conjunction with the show, CA Boom's innovative Design+Architecture Tour series will showcase exciting, recently completed residential projects in Santa Monica (March 30), Venice (March 31) and West Los Angeles/Mar Vista (April 1).
"Our tours have proven to be an innovative opportunity for a potential client to prescreen five architects in three to four hours and a breakthrough for the architects looking to communicate their services to potential clients, both residential and commercial," says Trotter.
The show also features the return of the Prefab Zone, the only place in the world that connects would-be buyers of prefab with actual manufacturers who can deliver a modernist prefab home. CA Boom's prefab marketplace is unique in that it requires participants to have built a minimum of one prefab home, have their manufacturing and delivery processes in place, and be able to quote prices and write orders. Among the companies returning this year are Living Homes, Clever Homes, Sander Architects, kitHAUS and Marmol Radziner Prefab.
Because CA Boom is a celebration of independent contemporary design as well as a trade show, well-known local DJs will provide a unified soundtrack throughout the three-day event, contributing to a uniquely festive "only-in-California" atmosphere. Based upon past attendance records, CA Boom organizers expect to see a significant increase over last year's 7,500 attendees during the course of the three-day show.
