The Elysee Collection says 'Buon giorno' with Collezione Contessa

New collection from French furniture designer showcases the traditional design elements of Tuscany
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Mar. 6 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Known for its exquisite French antique reproductions, The Elysee Collection is saying "Buon giorno" with its latest offering, Collezione Contessa, a group of about 20 pieces inspired by traditional Italian living and the rustic beauty of the Tuscan countryside. From the breathtaking Credenza Verona to the stunning Cosimo drop-leaf writing desk, the collection features solid wood case goods hand-painted in the colors and textures of Tuscan Italy.

Much like Tuscany itself, the elegant, handcrafted pieces in the Collezione Contessa reflect the simplicity and integrity of country life and the artistic qualities of the Renaissance period. Distressed and antiqued painted finishes combine with gilded edge Italianate details and craftsmanship found in the finest homes in Tuscany.
Collezione Contessa is awash in the palette of the Italian landscape: rich, sunny yellows of a courtyard bathed in late summer sun; tranquil azure blues of the Mediterranean; rustic whites and ecrus of a whitewashed stucco wall; deep, rich greens of cypress trees lining the entryways to the most beautiful villas; and vibrant yet earthy terra cottas found on the roof tiles of Italian farmhouses.
To celebrate the new group, The Elysee Collection will present a theme of "A Season in Italy" during this month's High Point Market. The exterior of The Elysee Collection's showroom in Hamilton Market has been transformed into an Italian piazza, complete with a bella donna (beautiful woman) handing out lavender sprigs to lucky passersby, filling the air with the rich aroma of a Tuscan summer day.
Designers who purchase pieces from Collezione Contessa during market will receive a complimentary copy of Tuscan Elements, a stunningly rendered coffee table book by Alexandra Black, author of numerous books on design and architecture and a regular contributor to House & Garden, Elle and Vogue Living, with photography by famed photo artist Simon McBride.
To learn more about the Collezione Contessa and to experience a season in Italy during the High Point Market, stop by The Elysee Collection's showroom at Hamilton Market, 101 N. Hamilton Street, #115, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. or call 919-967-8686 to set up an appointment.
