Order for 101 IAC Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) Expands Apache Program Commitment to Groundbreaking Maintenance and Safety Technology
POWAY, Calif. - Mar. 8 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Intelligent Automation Corporation (IAC), proven leaders in aviation maintenance and diagnostics technology, announced today that the U.S. Army purchased an additional one-hundred and one (101) IAC 1209 Modern Signal Processing Units (MSPU) Health & Usage Management Systems (HUMS). The company's pioneering technology will support and streamline maintenance as well as improve safety and readiness for the U.S. Army's fleet of 750 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.
The IAC 1209 MSPU has proven to lower maintenance costs and aircraft downtime, while increasing operational readiness and availability during independent U.S. Army testing.
"It's all about saving lives, saving money, and saving time. When I hear that Apache crews are requesting our system before flying critical missions in Iraq and other hot spots that tells me that the IAC HUMS is making an important difference" says Intelligent Automation Corporation CEO Jeffery Goodrich.
IAC HUMS systems have been selected for nearly 1000 military and commercial aircraft including the U.S. Army AH-64 (Apache), C/MH-60 (Blackhawk), C/M/HH-47 (Chinook) Helicopters, OH-6 (Little Bird) and the RQ-7 Shadow. In addition to use by U.S. military, IAC HUMS systems are depended upon by Bell Helicopter, Boeing, and other aviation manufacturers.
IAC has just introduced another technological first with the unveiling of SuperHUMS(TM). The only system of its kind in the world, the patent pending technology is a faster than real time on board diagnostics system that is capable of integrating Helicopter Operations Monitoring Program (HOMP), Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA), automated flight regime recognition and flight data and cockpit voice recording into one system. Faster, lighter, and better than previous systems, it is the highest performance machinery diagnostics and monitoring system on the market, today.
