World Peace through Youth Sports - Dubai Attending WYBT 2007 in Hawaii
KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii - Apr. 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The 9th Annual Spalding World Youth Basketball Tournament (www.wybt.com), being held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, July 24th - July 29th, 2007, is proud to announce that even the Middle East will be represented. The American School of Dubai will be participating this summer. Along with teams from New Zealand, Canada, Guam, Native Hawaiian, Native American Indian, and teams from all over the mainland U.S.
U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate Barack Obama (obama.senate.gov) has been invited to speak about world peace at this international event.
The tournament will have boys and girls teams from ages 11 - 18. What a great opportunity for cultural exchange with all these great teams, and to create peace and understanding through youth sports.
The tournament has had a prestigious amount of alumni including 2 of the past 1st picks of the NBA draft, Andrew Bogut of Australia, Dwight Howard, and 7 other NBA players.
