Hundreds of Ohio Homeowners to Receive Foreclosure Prevention Help at Free, Walk-in Workshops with Mortgage Lenders and Counselors
NeighborWorks(R) America, Lenders and Counselors Participate in HOPE NOW Homeownership Preservation Workshop to Triage Struggling Homeowners With On-the-spot Loan Modifications, Counseling and Financial Plans
COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 27 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Ohio homeowners at risk of foreclosure will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with their mortgage lender at the free HOPE NOW Homeownership Preservation Workshop this Sunday, March 30. Ohio is the second state offering the HOPE NOW workshops, co-sponsored by NeighborWorks(R) America, as part of a national tour aimed at giving struggling homeowners face time with their lender to develop a possible loan modification or financial plan to avoid foreclosure.
Sunday, March 30th, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Crowne Plaza Columbus North Hotel, The Pavilion 6500 Doubletree Avenue, Columbus OH 43229 (Free Hotel Parking).
The workshops, which take homeowners an average of 30 minutes to complete, are open to the public, will offer assistance in multiple languages, and include opportunities for homeowners to access information on homeownership preservation. The one-on-one meetings with loan servicers, in many cases, will lead to work outs and free counseling with local housing counselors who are HUD-certified.
"These workshops are designed to triage homeowners in trouble so they can quickly access information, their lenders and counselors all at once and walk out feeling more confident that they have a roadmap back to sustainable homeownership," said Kate Colarulli, Program Manager for the NeighborWorks Center for Foreclosure Solutions.
