SAN ANTONIO, TX – Aug. 4 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — San Antonio-based HomeSwimmer Ltd, creator of a new, portable stationary swimming system, has agreed to co-sponsor Masters of South Texas, MOST’s participation in the XI Fina Masters World Championship to be held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, August 3rd through the 17th.

Over 5,000 swimmers from 1,100 Masters Clubs in 75 countries will be competing in the five aquatic disciplines: Speed Swimming, Synchronized Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, and Open Water Swimming. This major aquatic competition is held every two years and is now being hosted by the United States for the first time in 12 years.

“The MOST team include current Masters world and national record holders, former Olympians, and several national Top Ten ranked swimmers,” indicated Claudia Berdegue, President, HomeSwimmer, Ltd., “we feel truly privileged to be associated with such a fine group of athletes and we wish them the best of luck at Stanford.”

Information about the competition, including Real Time results can be found at the event’s website

“MOST was fortunate to secure the sponsorship of both HomeSwimmer and NIKE to help offset our travel/competition expenses,” said coach Susan Ingraham, and added “HomeSwimmer has been a fun and unique addition to our speed training. It provides a very intense aspect to our efforts to develop strength while maintaining proper technique.”

HomeSwimmer’s innovative device allows people to turn any pool into a fitness pool. The system, which the start-up claims can be assembled in less than three minutes, is designed to adapt to most pool settings, and is engineered to offer a comfortable and natural swimming experience to swimmers of all ages and proficiency levels.

Currently, there are approximately 8 million residential pools in the US. “A residential pool can be the largest, most underutilized investment in a house” Berdegue expained, “and swimming is among the most complete forms of exercise there is.”

“HomeSwimmer has also proven to be an extraordinary coaching tool,” Berdegue explained, “swimmers are using water mirrors to evaluate their movements and improve their strokes while swimming in place.”

HomeSwimmer Ltd. was established in 2006 to develop and market a unique line of high-quality fitness product for residential pool owners worldwide.
