SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Nov. 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Altamont Homes, Inc., located in Martinez, Calif., is filling a void in the California construction market – custom modular homes – and is excited to announce that they will be teaming up with award-winning architect, Douglas Cutler, AIA.
The “Cutler Series” provides 25 exquisite modular-homes choices. Cutler is based in Wilton, Ct. and is excited to be able to team up with Altamont Homes and to introduce his award-winning designs to the west coast.
“Cutler is one of the finest and best-known architects in the field,” Eric Peterson, president, said. “And, in the modular home industry he truly stands alone.”
Cutler has often been recognized by the media for his outstanding work in this field. On six separate occasions, he has appeared in “Better Homes and Gardens” and has been lauded by several industry periodicals, most recently – the September issue of “Automated Builder.” He is also in an upcoming edition of Business Week.
As California’s custom modular home leader, Altamont Homes is prepared to build custom-designed dream homes at a lesser cost than an on-site constructed home; Cutler will ensure its attractive and savvy design.
True modular homes are built in accordance with the same building codes which traditional on-site built homes are constructed – the Uniform Building Code (UBC) or International Building Code (IBC).
These homes are not to be confused with manufactured homes, a more common type of factory-built home constructed to a different building code – the HUD code – which can be more limited in architecture and not as favorable to appraise or finance.
“We also understand that building any type of custom home in California is not easy these days,” Peterson said. “There are a myriad of permits to be obtained and strict regulations to comply with through out the entire build process. If the process is not handled correctly, costly delays and cost over runs can easily occur. Professional Project Managers will supervise the entire project to make it efficient and seamless.”
Altamont Homes, Inc. was formed in 2003 by a group of experienced construction industry professionals who saw the need for housing that was more affordable without sacrificing quality, appearance, or value.
