For any group or religion, it is easy to love someone who thinks the way its own members do. The challenge is to love and understand those who think differently. But is tolerance of others\u2019 beliefs and practices enough? Or do we sell ourselves short when we don\u2019t go the extra mile to build understanding?<\/p>\n
The event begins Wednesday, November 15, at 6 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong>with a reception\u00a0<\/strong>at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n Representatives of six different religions will explore and seek to answer:<\/em><\/p>\n The roundtable will take place in the chapel of the\u00a0Church of Scientology Budapest<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0V\u00e1ci \u00fat 169.<\/p>\n The United Nations set aside\u00a0International Day of Tolerance<\/a>\u00a0to \u201caffirm respect and appreciation of the rich variety of our world\u2019s cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human,\u201d and the \u201chuman rights and fundamental freedoms of others.\u201d<\/p>\n The rights and freedoms of others is a concept the staff and congregation of the Church of Scientology Budapest hold dear. In fact, this is a central theme of the episode of\u00a0Destination: Scientology<\/em>\u2014Budapest<\/em><\/a> on the Scientology Network.\u00a0\u201cBudapest is called the City of Freedom,\u201d says one of the Church executives interviewed for the program, and this is central to their pride in being Hungarian.<\/p>\n An Ideal Scientology Organization, the Church is configured to provide services to Scientologists in their ascent to spiritual freedom and serve as a home for the entire community\u2014a meeting ground of cooperative effort to uplift people of all cultures and denominations.
