LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Tweens, teens and adults alike have been anxiously awaiting the sophomore season of the wacky politically-incorrect comedy with a heart, also known as Poor Paul, produced by Eye Scream Films. These same fans are also excited for the premiere of the Disney Channel’s Princess Protection Program which happens to star Poor Paul’s Kevin G. Schmidt (Young and the Restless, Cheaper by the Dozen) and Samantha Droke (Suite Life of Zack & Cody).<\/p>\n

\"PoorWhy are fans of squeaky-clean Disney idols watching Poor Paul? Most likely because they’re not supposed to be. Who didn’t get a thrill out of sneaking into an R-Rated film as a kid? That, and the fact that Poor Paul is an intelligent, well-written and acted comedy that isn’t afraid to take chances. Paul lives vicariously through his own video blog and creates hilarious fantasies to escape the stresses of real life. His roommates are the over-achieving “I’m better than everyone” Justin (Schmidt) and Clyde, the OCD womanizing alcoholic. A frequent visitor is Clyde’s adopted sister Bonnie (Droke), who has a crush on Paul. Their quirky chemistry all contribute to the guilty pleasure of Poor Paul.<\/p>\n

Poor Paul’s second season has also attracted some high-profile guest stars including Guillermo Diaz (Half Baked, Chappelle Show, Weeds), Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap, Joan of Arcadia), Mandy Jiroux (Miley Cyrus’ BFF, Miley-Mandy Show) and returning as the lovable and eccentric Grandpa Paul, character actor Richard Riehle (Office Space, Grounded for Life).<\/p>\n
