The Impactor and the Tempel 1 will collide at a relative speed 23,000 mph and will impact at a force of 4 1\/2 tons of TNT.<\/p>\n<p> The collision is expected to create a crater over 300 feet in diameter and up to 100 feet deep. The &#8220;fireworks&#8221; may be visible by the naked eye from Earth.
