\u201cWe like to joke that we have some of the best trash on the street,\u201d John Godts, co-owner, Cottage Cooking, says. \u201cOur \u2018Elegant Evening Out\u2019 class is one of the bears\u2019 favorite times to visit as salmon is the main course.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cottage Cooking has been in business for more than nine years and it enjoys a variety of guests \u2013 both tourists and locals alike. The business offers about 20 different menus from which to choose and many are \u201cbear-friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Liisa Andreassen, Cottage Cooking\u2019s other owner, says the bears also like to sniff around after the New Orleans\u2019 jambalaya class.<\/p>\n
\u201cApparently, those shrimp shells are quite irresistible,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
The couple has managed to bearproof their cans and it works \u2013 for the most part. Occasionally, the bears do manage to team up and get their paws on something tasty. And after a nibble, they like to take a little nap.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a weekend morning baking class once to twice a month. These classes make for a great date night or ladies\u2019 night out.<\/p>\n The company has built a reputation in the business for hosting fun bachelorette parties and family reunions. In addition to a schedule which can be found on their website, they\u2019ll also design custom dates and menus as requested.<\/p>\n Classes range from $85 to $125 and private classes for two are $300. All classes are BYOB.
