Working in collaboration, the two organizations help children develop the compassion and understanding for their peers with special needs.<\/p>\n
\u201cJodi Murphy and I are special needs moms,\u201d said Heather McCarthy, co-founder of Someone Special Books. \u201cWhile my children carry the diagnosis of Propionic Acidemia, her son has autism. We both know that these are simply diagnoses and they do not define our children.\u201d<\/p>\n
