SEATTLE, Wash., March 23, 2017 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — No Stomach For Cancer, an international advocacy organization for stomach cancer, will host its fourth \u201cSpotlight on Gastric Cancer\u201d on Friday, May 12 at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center\u2019s Pelton Auditorium in Seattle, Wash.<\/p>\n

\nStomach cancer is currently the third leading cause of cancer deaths, worldwide, with one million new cases diagnosed each year. As a result, any opportunity to learn more about medical advancements and research is a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSpotlight on Gastric Cancer\u201d event presents the ideal platform for those in the stomach cancer community, the medical community and the public to come together to learn more about gastric cancer. For example, what is the history of gastric cancer? What is its current state and what are future hopes? Expert researchers, patients and caregivers will share stories and educate each other about current treatment options for gastric cancer and much more.<\/p>\n

The event is free and open to the public. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and registration can be done online here: 2017 Spotlight on Gastric Cancer<\/a> – http:\/\/www.fredhutch.org\/en\/events\/spotlight-gastric-cancer.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n
