TIPP CITY, Ohio, June 20, 2018 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — North Central Local Schools\u2019 K-12 building is set to receive a dramatic upgrade in energy efficiency through a partnership with Energy Optimizers, USA, a move that is expected to save the district more than $50,000 annually.<\/p>\n

\nStarting in July, Energy Optimizers, USA, will retrofit all interior and exterior lighting systems with LEDs, upgrade the district\u2019s building controls system, provide energy-efficient enhancements to kitchen equipment and water pumps, and replace the building\u2019s roof with a higher rated insulated material. The work also includes a biannual inspection and maintenance of HVAC equipment to ensure it is running in top condition.<\/p>\n

The expected savings will come through reduced demand for fuel, electrical utilities, and maintenance. The most immediate gains will result from the switch to LED lighting, which uses an average of 60 percent less energy and lasts five times longer than the systems being replaced.<\/p>\n
