ATLANTA, Ga., Oct. 5, 2018 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) \u2013- The Ormewoods\u00a0\u2013 Claire Pearson and Don McCollister \u2013 is an Americana and folk duo, and their new music video, \u201cHope, Pray, Sing,\u201d was released to draw people closer together rather than tear them apart.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe song was originally written after the 2016 U.S. presidential election,\u201d Pearson says. \u201cI\u2019m still a bit disconcerted, but I do know how to \u2018Hope, Pray and Sing.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

As chief songwriter, Pearson draws lyric inspiration from her daily journals. The song\u2019s opening lyrics, \u201cHope to stand your ground, pray for angels to sound, sing for peace to be found,\u201d set the stage for a musical message with positive vibes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hateful climate and the demonizing of people with different beliefs is our greatest concern,\u201d Pearson adds. \u201cThis song resonates with people who are sick of these things too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pearson says the response to \u201cHope, Pray, Sing\u201d has been really lovely.<\/p>\n

\u201cFriends and family on both sides of the political fence have embraced it; we couldn\u2019t ask for anything more,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

The duo\u2019s music is described by fans as \u201csexy, folk, pop and country.\u201d It\u2019s toe-tapping and, at times, profound.<\/p>\n

To date, The Ormewoods have produced two albums, \u201cThe Bedroom Sessions,\u201d which in 2017 spent more than 33 consecutive weeks on the folk charts, and \u201cNot Your Mama\u2019s Folk.\u201d<\/p>\n
