Her husband, Joe Puckett, and daughter, Cosette, are also committed to this niche family business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAubade Publishing is really a labor of love,\u201d Joe says, who is also the business\u2019s chief editor. \u201cWe all get to indulge our reading addiction as part of our work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cosette, a 2019 English graduate from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, manages acquisition, performs editing, designs covers and layouts, manages the social media sites and illustrates some of the books.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were flooded with manuscripts,\u201d Cosette says, \u201cbut the writers we chose for publication really grabbed us with their style and content \u2013 it\u2019s quite an eclectic group. We\u2019re also very happy to publish Rochelle Distelheim for a second time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.send2press.com\/wire\/images\/20-0311-aubade-books-2020-02-696x696.jpg\" alt=\"Aubade Publishing new books for 2020\" width=\"696\" height=\"696\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-57495\" \/><br \/>\nThe books that Aubade Publishing publishes are rooted in the family\u2019s favorite literature genres: fantasy and science fiction, Gothic, historical and literary fiction, poetry and memoirs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to read so much as a kid that my parents would ground me from reading if I got in trouble,\u201d Cosette says, \u201cbut now I get to read as part of my job and be involved in the creative process with these fabulous writers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aubade\u2019s website theme revolves around an Emily Dickinson poem which opening lines state: \u201cThere is no frigate like a book to take us lands away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy reading these eight books, I \u2018traveled\u2019 to British India during the two world wars; St Petersburg and Jerusalem after the fall of the Soviet Union; contemporary Cape Cod; Tennessee during the Civil War; the Great Plains when Sitting Bull lived; the Hi-Line of Montana in the 1990s; the Pacific Northwest (with a truck driver); and I got to meet a selkie,\u201d Cosette shares.<\/p>\n<p>The books are available for pre-order directly from the publisher\u2019s website at: <a href=\"https:\/\/aubadepublishing.com\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/aubadepublishing.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are also instructions for writers on how to submit manuscripts for possible future publication. Electronic and paperback ARCs for the three remaining titles will be available for review closer to their publication dates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to possible future expansion,\u201d Vonda says, \u201cbut we don\u2019t want to put a number on that like we did in 2018.
