CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 12, 2020 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — 71 North Entertainment\u2019s artist Mark \u201cBig Mucci\u201d Wynn, best known for his \u201cBikers Shuffle\u201d and \u201cCleveland Shuffle,\u201d is gaining new attention for another line dance track \u2014 \u201cThe Set Slide.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018The Set Slide\u2019 is a continuation of the \u2018Bikers Shuffle.\u2019 which was dedicated to the motorcycle community,\u201d Big Mucci said. \u201cAfter that came out, people in different sets, like clubs and social groups, kept coming up to me asking to make a dance for their clubs. I\u2019m not in all those clubs, so this one is just dedicated to all the sets. I even put the roller skaters in there.\u201d<\/p>\n
The motivation behind Big Mucci\u2019s music is to bring people of different backgrounds and ages together through line dancing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese groups of people love to do things together, and it\u2019s a brotherhood and camaraderie,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2018The Set Slide\u2019 came out in 2014, but \u2018Bikers Shuffle\u2019 has overshadowed it. That came out in 2009, and now it\u2019s 2020, so I think people have done it so much they are looking for something new.\u201d<\/p>\n
The rebirth of \u201cThe Set Slide\u201d is proven in its social media attention. \u201cThe Set Slide\u201d video on Big Mucci\u2019s TikTok page has exploded to more than 460,000 views, while the page itself, launched in mid-April, has grown to nearly 32,000 followers and more than 100,000 likes. \u201cThe Set Slide\u201d on Spotify has swelled to 7,761 streams, a growth of more than 5,000 percent in the last month, and monthly, his Spotify has nearly 25,000 listeners.<\/p>\n
Big Mucci\u2019s YouTube and Facebook pages have also seen a rise, with 33,000 and 821,000 views, respectively.<\/p>\n
\u201cI put \u2018The Set Slide\u2019 on TikTok in the last week of April, and it just took on a whole new life,\u201d Big Mucci said. \u201cI put up a clip of me and my partner leading the dance, and people started doing it themselves and reposting it.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the pandemic, I wanted to give people something to do at home with their families. Line dance is also a form of exercise, so I think people saw that then went to my YouTube and found more dances they could do together in their living rooms.<\/p>\n
Big Mucci\u2019s ultimate goal with his music is to bring people together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe \u2018Trail Riders Shuffle\u2019 is also going viral,\u201d he said. \u201cThat one is for trail riders and saddle clubs, which are mostly people in the south that ride horses. It\u2019s big in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, and goes as far over as South Carolina. Thousands of them like to meet up, go on a horseback ride, then meet up in a field and party all night with music and vendors.\u201d<\/p>\n
Big Mucci\u2019s other group-specific hits include his original debut in 1997, \u201cLet Me See Dat Bootie Bounce,\u201d \u201cThe Birthday Slide,\u201d \u201cReBirth of the Shuffle,\u201d \u201cThe Mickey James,\u201d and the \u201cBreast Cancer Awareness Shuffle.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI operate by the belief that if people show me love, I show them love back,\u201d he said. \u201cIf I go to an event, I analyze what is going on and the people\u2019s lifestyle, then I incorporate that into a song.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe music itself makes me come up with the dances when I start grooving to it, and I always make my dances to where everyone can do them \u2014 from the little kids to the elders. It\u2019s all about bringing unity and connecting everyone together.\u201d<\/p>\n
After 23 years in the business, Big Mucci said it\u2019s amazing his career is still going.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Bootie Bounce\u2019 came out, and then \u2018Cleveland Shuffle\u2019 went global [and reached No. 44 on the top 100 Billboard Charts], and I\u2019ve been doing this nonstop ever since,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The music will continue this year, as Big Mucci\u2019s fifth studio album, \u201cBig Mucci\u2019s Line Dance Movement, Part III,\u201d is set to drop by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n
Born in Cleveland, the birthplace of Rock & Roll, Big Mucci served his country as a United States Marine. After returning home from serving his country, Big Mucci formed his line dance rap group 71 North Boyz in 1997. In 2004, he embarked on a successful solo career.
