Audio Angel.<\/p>\n Adepoju, whom longtime musical collaborator Mickey Hart dubs \u201cthe Mozart of Talking Drum\u201d by, found deep inspiration in John Denver\u2019s timeless ode to the quiet splendor of nature and the universal yearning for a place to call one\u2019s own.<\/p>\n He says the recording is a testament to the power that a great song has to transcend genres, as well as an opportunity to showcase the talents of his A-list collaborators.<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn’t resist adding my African touch to the song after I heard how sweetly guitarists Peter Fujii and Dave Schools played it\u2014and how beautifully Audio Angel [Rashida Clendening] sang it\u2014the first time in the studio,\u201d he says. \u201cI believe the listeners will support my decision.\u201d<\/p>\n Released via MansMark Records, and distributed by DashGo, \u201cCountry Roads\u201d is available now across all digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon.<\/p>\n The Riddim Doctors project aims to celebrate African roots music while also infusing it with diverse new flavors: \u201cThe hope behind this album is to unite people in celebration of life and goodness,\u201d says Adepoju.<\/p>\n The all-star international ensemble features Adepoju, sibling and fellow percussionist Saminu Adepoju, fusion guitarist Peter Fujii,\u00a0Latin jazz percussionist Giovanni Hildalgo,\u00a0drummer Ian Herman,\u00a0singer and multi-instrumentalist Richie \u201cShakin\u201d Nagan, producer and songwriter Femi Ojetunde\u00a0and\u00a0steel drummer Douglas Val Serrant.
