QUEENS, N.Y., March 4, 2021 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — After being shut down for one-year, Main Street Cinemas, a Queens movie theater, is re-opening on Friday, March 5. Staff is excited to welcome everyone back and is looking forward to rekindling the in-person movie-goer experience.<\/p>\n

For nearly 20 years, Main Street Cinemas, a small, family-owned business has experienced its share of ups and downs, but Rudy Toolasprashad, Main Street Cinemas\u2019 owner, admits that this past year tops the hardship list. He did everything he could to keep his employees on the payroll and to avoid closing down and walking away for good.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe business serves as more than just a way to support my family,\u201d he shares. \u201cOver the years, it\u2019s also become the source of so many memories I\u2019ve created with family and friends. I had to hold on tight. I knew my kids would have been disappointed if I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Historically, Main Street Cinemas is known for playing the latest blockbusters in all genres. It\u2019s screened everything from \u201cStar Wars\u201d and Marvel\u2019s \u201cAvengers\u201d to \u201cToy Story,\u201d \u201cSaw\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

And, 2021 is shaping up well too. It has an exciting line-up of movies to kick off its grand re-opening to include: \u201cRaya and The Last Dragon,\u201d \u201cChaos Walking,\u201d \u201cTom & Jerry,\u201d \u201cBoogie,\u201d \u201cWonder Woman 1984,\u201d \u201cThe Little Things,\u201d and \u201cCroods: A New Age.\u201d<\/p>\n
