ATLANTA, Ga., Sept. 28, 2022 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE)\u00a0—\u00a0Expanding\u00a0The Investors Academy<\/a>\u00a0services to support more\u00a0teens and young adults, the nonprofit\u2019s Youth Training Program shares life skills, on-the-job training and financial literary skills for youth ages 15 to 24. In its second summer, the program has been funded by the Fulton County Government, with partners including the City of Atlanta, Thinkzilla Consulting Group announced today.<\/p>\n

Designed to give teens and young adults meaningful employment and real-world experience,\u00a0The Investors Academy Youth Training Program combines the rigor of higher learning and adulthood in a\u00a0skills-based\u00a0summer apprenticeship. Every participant has the opportunity to expand job skills while also learning how to save and invest their earnings.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to support\u00a0underserved individuals on their pathway to self-sufficiency through meaningful hands-on job training through this program that provides education, employment, and the critical financial resources and life skills that are needed for\u00a0success in their\u00a0next stage,\u201d said Montra McKenzie, CEO of The Investors Academy. \u201cWe are thrilled to expand opportunities this year and reach even more community members interested in learning new skills and realizing new\u00a0goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

In particular, the summer apprenticeship\u00a0provided hands-on warehousing skills, pallet jack training, safety training, OSHA training and certification.<\/p>\n
