\u201cI\u2019ve been in ministry for over 41 years,\u201d says a Christian pastor in a video on the new interactive timeline on the Scientology website.\u00a0\u201cAnd I\u2019ve longed to be part of an organization that was more hands-on and\u00a0doing\u00a0things.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pastor describes how he\u2019d grown tired of meetings filled with \u201ctalking but not really\u00a0doing\u00a0it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then he found the Church of Scientology of Inglewood and the many programs it offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know who\u2019s\u00a0doing it,\u201d he says. \u201cThe Church of Scientology is doing it. That\u2019s the thing that I want to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pandemic created many hardships for houses of worship and parishioners. It was nearly a year before the U.S. Supreme Court lifted California\u2019s\u00a0ban on indoor church services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople were longing to get back to normal in their personal lives and their work and also in their community involvement,\u201d the pastor says.<\/p>\n

But the pandemic was far from over and people were anxious about what would happen when they started to interact again.<\/p>\n

When he learned about the\u00a0Stay Well campaign of the Church of Scientology<\/a>, he called it \u201ca great step toward bringing us back to normalcy.\u201d Here was an initiative that helped people understand the protocols and what they could do to make sure they and their families and friends stayed well.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Scientology Churches took part in an international campaign to educate others on the simple principles behind prevention. They did this through booklets and videos that visitors could read or watch and download free of charge from the\u00a0How to Stay Well Prevention Center<\/a>\u00a0on the Scientology website. In Greater Los Angeles alone, Scientology Volunteer Ministers distributed more than 300,000 Stay Well booklets to essential businesses, restaurants, take-outs, supermarkets and other retail outlets for their customers and door-to-door to their neighbors.<\/p>\n

One principle he describes as \u201cgalvanizing\u201d is the motto for the Stay Well campaign:\u00a0\u201cAn ounce of prevention is worth a\u00a0ton\u00a0of cure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my mantra,\u201d he says.\u00a0\u201cYou know sometimes, some of the best \u2018cures\u2019 are never to get started.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also speaks of the technology the Church provides which he describes as\u00a0\u201creal practical yet in-depth. It\u2019s doable and it\u2019s workable and it can help…whether it\u2019s in their marriage or whether it\u2019s raising children, trying to navigate through the workplace.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to take that back to the community, take that back to my workplace, take that back to my family, and help effect some needed changes.<\/p>\n
