MIAMI, FL - April 8, 2003 /Send2Press/ -- Veridien Corporation (www.veridien.com) is pleased to announce the introduction of the next generation of its patented Viraguard® line of ready to use disinfectants and antimicrobials for medical, dental and institutional markets. Since its introduction nearly a decade ago, Viraguard has been recognized as an environmentally compatible and highly effective solution for the disinfection of hard inanimate surfaces, under its EPA disinfectant registration, as well as being a safe and effective hand sanitizer, under its FDA drug listing as an OTC antimicrobial product.

The patented Viraguard formulation utilizes Isopropanol (Isopropyl Alcohol) in its optimum concentration, combined with other ingredients, to meet both EPA and FDA requirements, without the need for harmful or residue producing chemicals such as Quaternary Ammonium, Phenol, Chlorine, or Glutaraldehyde. The emollient in the patented Viraguard formulation retards evaporation, considerably increasing the effective time for the alcohol to work on the surface of the hands, while preserving moisture, and helping to prevent drying of the skin.
