Overview of Programs

2011 Affiliate Program

Our affiliate program works a little differently in that we no longer offer a simple referral link and tracking code due to the fact that most online web browsers, mobile devices and secure home networks block almost all kinds of affiliate or client-side tracking. This means that most of those folks you would send to us, would result in no commission as the referrer's browser would block the cookie to keep track of them once they close their browser, if at all.

So, instead we have come up with a better referral program where you offer your site visitors / audience / clients a unique "first time customer discount code" (or "coupon"), and we then pay you a net commission on non-voided purchases made using that discount/coupon code. To keep coupon cheats from using multiple vendor coupons, these discounts are only offered to first time customers, and your coupon is usable on more services than our own first time customer coupon found on our main site (your coupon would be valid for Standard, Online, and Extended distribution plans). This ensures visitors are more likely to use your coupon on first purchase.

To participate in our Affiliate Program, you must have a U.S. or Canada based Website (and be a U.S. or Canada based company) and be prepared to post graphical banners (to IAB standards) and/or textual links on your site to promote our services. You must have a real company e-mail account (no @hotmail, @yahoo, etc.), usually based on your company domain. U.S. individuals/companies will need to provide their tax I.D. (SSN/EIN). Note that we are a certified PCI-DSS secure merchant and all personal data is kept secure at all times.

TERMS OF PROGRAM: Authorized affiliate partners would earn a 10% commission on the "net" non-voided purchases made by clients who make a purchase using your unique partner-affiliate discount code for our "Standard" level plans (including our new "2011 Subscription Posting Plans"), and 5% on the "net" sale from our "Extended" level plans. This means that on a $299.99 purchase, after credit card and interchange/security/AVS fees (5%), and after a 10% discount, the net sale amount would be $256.49, and your commission would be $25.64. All payments are made via PayPal on commission payments under $500. Over $500 you have the option of a company check sent via regular postal mail. Affiliate links cannot be used in any bulk e-mail campaigns (except existing customer opted-in newsletters). Commissions are not paid on services ordered by affiliates using their own links, or by creating multiple accounts, or for our prior customers; nor on multi-packs already discounted, special combo-pack offers already discounted, add-ons, or international options. All banners, and promotional text on your site must be approved prior to posting to ensure compliance with our registered trademarks and service marks (brands and logos), and for accuracy in describing who we are and what we do.

Newswire Partner Program

New for 2011 is a program where you can bundle our newswire service as part of your own "newswire service" offerings. Basically, for either a per story or monthly fee all of your news stories would be included in our news and syndication feeds. This would include posting on Send2PressNewswire.com, CaliforniaNewswire.com, FloridaNewswire.com, MassachusettsNewswire.com, MassMediaContent.com, Twitter, Google News, Zimbio, Wikio, all of our RSS feeds, daily summary opt-in emails, etc. News would be syndicated into our partner systems like Demand Media, LexisNexis, ProQuest, HTMedia, Contify, etc. You would need to create a custom RSS feed that includes our wire service line after the dateline (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE), and then a notation at bottom of story "This release was issued on behalf of the news source by MY WIRE SERVICE NAME HERE (mysite.com)." If unable to create a dynamic or manually built RSS feed, you could log-in to our system to post stories on a per-item basis ($20/story fee for this). All content would need to be clean, consistent, and to A.P. standards. If you have an existing newswire service, and are interested in this kind of partnership, please inquire.

Agency Pricing for Services

Please note that all pricing in our Order Center is already "agency pricing" and is designed to compete with both PRNewswire® and BusinessWire®, by providing a comparable service at nearly half the price (compare our "Extended National" distribution plan to BW and PRN's national plan!).

For many of our services, especially our "Standard" level distribution plans, you can pre-pay for Agency Multi-Packs in our Order Center, which provide a 10-15% discount, when pre-ordering either three (3) or five (5) distribution plans. Not all "Extended" plans are available as pre-paid "Multi-Packs" due to reduced margins on these plans, since they push through partner services in addition to our own.

For those busy agencies who can commit to a minimum of $5,000 per month in services, we are able to provide an additional standard discount on all services.

You can add Send2Press Newswire content to your blog, aggregation system, news site or similar by using simple copy-paste JavaScript, WordPress plug-in, or RSS feeds.
