SK&I Announces Topping Out for Metro & Desoto Buildings
BETHESDA, MD - Nov. 17, 2003 /Send2Press Newswire/ -- SK&I Architectural
Design Group, LLC (SK&I - www.skiarch.com) announced today the topping
out of The Metro & The Desoto, located at 1444 and 1445 Church Street,
NW, Washington DC. The Owner and Developer, PN Hoffman Construction
Development, hosted a topping out party on November 7, 2003.
The projects are located in the heart of the historic 14th Street
Corridor of Washington, DC. The Metro is a fifty-three (53) unit
condominium complex and The Desoto is a sixty-six (66) unit apartment
building. Each is seven stories and approximately 58,000 gsf and are
connected by a two level, 46,000 gsf, underground garage. The façade was
designed to respond to the warehouse style of its surrounding
architecture. Expansive glass openings will compliment the high
interior ceilings. The unit types will vary from one-bedroom units to
duplex units with generous terrace space and rooftop views of the
Washington skyline. Construction began in May 2003 and is scheduled
for completion in November 2004.
