CONTENT AND LINKS

Targeting varies by distribution package. We offer various packages which target daily media in one U.S. state, regional, or national (all states). As of 2026 we primarily rwach media via all AP Newsrooms in the U.S., which is over 3,500 working pro media news outlets, with up to 65,000 media folk. This includes business and financial trade media. We reach top data systems like LexisNexis, Reuters WestLaw and dozens more.

Saprately from targeted outreach, our news is syndicatded nationally via the AP to top print and broadcast websites, and is found on top business sites like Digital Journal, StreetInsider, California Newwire, APNews.com, Apple News, Google News. We also share to our long-running social channels like X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Online placement varies by distribution package.

We require a properly formatted release in MS Word format, without any custom formatting like color text or inline images. A press release is not an article or advertisement. We require clear attribution. proper dateline, and working URL for the media to learn more.

No. We only issue press releases; we do not publish articles or advertorial "promoted posts." Send2Press is a paid newswire service, not a blog or magazine. We never accept paid "link insertions" in press release content.

No. Please see our Acceptable Content Policy (ACP) for complete information on the type of news we do, and do not, accept for issuing press releases. If you have been turned down by other newswires, it's very unlikely we would accept the content either. Certain topics like legal and political news also require pre-approval.

No. As of 2013, Google's linking policy for press releases are to only use "rel=nofollow" links due to syndication networks cloning potentially hundreds of copies of a single announcement. Press releases are a third form of content, neither organic, nor "paid posts," in the way Google looks at it. Google search and AI will still follow all links in your release, but will determine whether the landing page is relevant to the topic/brand/person, without transferring any so-called "link juice" from the site publishing the news announcement.

Unfortunately, no. We discontinued user-list options many years ago due to spam problems with use of inappropriate contacts. Press releases are intended for media, not general public or company principals, and are not direct marketing. Today, we only email to confirmed media folk who have one-click opt-out option with each mailout. We discontinued faxing in 2018. Our primary outreach in 2026 is via all AP Newsrooms in the U.S.
Absolutely NO. All press releases (news announcements) must have clear "attribution." This means identifying the source of the news in the first paragraph text and listed with the issued content as the legal "news source" for the content. A press release is not an article, advert, or poster stapled to a sign pole. It is news coming frtom the "news source" not a fake article about the source. Ther pseron who wrote the release is not the news source, but rather the company (or person, such as book author) in the release announcing something. See our Requirements page for complete information on the news source attribution requirement.

PRICING AND ORDERING

Pretty simple! Review our pricing and features page, which also shows deadlines and word limits, as applicable to the distribution package you select. Writing/editing is available as an "add-on option" if needed, but not required. Once you pick a package, simply checkout in our secure online store, then you upload your Word doc and image(s) on our project form. The form is separate from checkout so that in mixed agency environment one person can place order, while different person can submit and manage a project. Remember to view our minimum content/format requirements!

No, as that is not applicable to our service. Send2Press is not a subscription service or blog posting platform or software app. All our services and pricing is based on a "per project" basis. We work in the traditional method with MS Word files reviewed by a staff member for accuracy and compliance.

Yes, but only for the "U.S. National PRO" package. All of our press release distribution packages are already set as "agency pricing" making them as cost-effective as possible. S2P+CISION plans are already heavily discounted (up to $600) vs using PRN/CISION directly. We may offer additional discounts to regular, consistent clients.

Unfortunately, no. Pricing would need to be substantially higher to support that. All services are pre-paid via our website (credit card, PayPal). You can put in an internal purchase order (P.O.) notation in comment box at checkout, but we do not use it for anything.
