According to ThompSon, “The Law of Attraction” espouses that we are all magnets. We attract things, people, and situations into our lives by virtue of our thoughts and emotions. Critics have argued that there is no way people would purposefully attract the debt, depression, or other adverse situations which are the realities of many.
“The problem is most people are creating and attracting by default. By focusing most of their time on what they do not want, they continually attract things that make them unhappy. We want to show people that there is a better way to live,” Coleman said.
The popularity of “The Law of Attraction” is creating a backlash from some who claim its promise is over-prescribed and even dangerous to people desperate for change. Critics say people who adopt this thinking can lead their lives to ruin.
“It is time for people to be open-minded,” ThompSon explains. “A 92-minute documentary cannot teach the full balance of universal law. The most critical elements required to give it better balance probably ended up on the cutting-room floor.”
The authors wrote “The Believer’s Guide to the Law of Attraction” to help people achieve balance and move their lives forward, while allowing them to maintain their beliefs. This cleverly written volume teaches people the complementary relationship between faith and universal law.
