TUCSON, Ariz. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — “Members of the Apache Nation extend a gracious gesture of solidarity with all Indigenous Peoples, in inviting our Earth Family to join in prayer for a Blue Sky Opening Ceremonies in Beijing on 8/8/08,” said Olympic skier, Suzy Chaffee, co-chairman of Native Voices Foundation, just renamed the Native American Olympic Team Foundation (NAOTF) by Apache leaders.

“On 8/8/08, we are including prayers, during our second Big Bear Medicine Wheel around Southern California’s San Bernardino Mountains, to purify Beijing’s atmosphere to help enhance a beautiful Blue Sky Opening. We ask you to join in also praying for clear blue skies in cities around the world, like L.A.,” said Valerie Nunez (Apache-Yaqui healer).

Nunez helped Bennie “Blue Thunder” LeBeau (E.Shoshone Elder) lead Big Bear’s first Medicine Wheel in 2004, also at the community’s request. It ended their four year lake drought, and skiers were blessed with the “best snow in 150 years” (bigbearmedicinewheel.com).

“We believe that the blue skies may continue if humanity also focuses during the Games on going back to respecting Mother Earth by using Her natural products in our homes and workplaces,” said Charles Vargas, CEO of the Chiricahua Nation of Geronimo, NAOTF’s co-chair.

California scientists, including Stanford’s 2007 Nobel Laureate/Climatologist, Dr Steven Schneider, found that “cancer causing toxic chemicals in our household and beauty products, then escape and become a significant environmental pollutant” (mindfully.org/Air/2003/Home-Chemicals-Smog9mar03.htm).

“In blessing Mother Earth and her skies, we are celebrating and empowering feminine energies. The grandmothers say these prayers are healing and returning the original beauty and sweetness back to all women’s hearts,” said Nunez

“Women can do wonders to purify the planet since they buy the family products. Combining China’s Green steps and these other practical and spiritual solutions with the planets aligning on 8/8/08, could make this a pivotal Green Olympics,” said Vargas, a gemologist. Uniting conscious change like this can preserve our way of life, starting with our Arctic cousins on the front lines (see Crash Course on going green: sedona.biz/crashcourse.htm).

The stunning epic movie “Mongol” shows how Mongolians invaded China and then established the Yuan Dynasty. “Some intermarried and crossed the Bering Straight to become the Dine/Navajo and Apache of Canada then America,” said Mary Ho, President of the China Millennium Council.

“Our Indigenous Chinese share similar linguistics and ceremonies with the Navajo and Apaches, and we understand each other,” said the skier who united the Pacific Rim behind the American Indian Elders-led World Prayers that have helped end snow droughts in Europe and America.
