MANCHESTER, Vt., June 18, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — CONIX Systems, Inc. (CONIX) recently hosted its first Seaside Summit, which comprised a balanced cross-section of the nation’s largest banks, regional and super regional banks, and leading payment processors. The summit was held May 29-31 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

CONIX hosted the Summit in an informal setting to provide attendees the opportunity to identify and tackle shared concerns with out-of-the-box thinking. The forum enabled payments professionals to step away from the typical business environment and share ideas in a non-competitive atmosphere.

The Summit discussions focused on current and future challenges shared by financial institutions of all sizes, the solutions needed to effectively address them, and the role CONIX could play in providing those solutions.

“Our company remains committed to solving industry problems and staying in touch with the concerns of our customers,” said CONIX CEO Mike Charles. “To make that happen, we periodically set aside time and commit resources to draw upon the insights and experiences of industry experts. The forum was very well received by all attendees. It was also extremely beneficial to CONIX in determining how to best use its resources to help the industry. In an environment where technology companies are relentlessly challenging banks for the payments market share, banks want to adapt rapidly to evolving payments types and the operational stresses they cause. We will continue to focus our efforts on innovative solutions that empower banks to compete in today’s payment landscape.”

Based on the success of the Summit, CONIX plans to continue to foster this type of industry collaboration by conducting annual summit meetings.
