McSherryĀ hasĀ spent more than two decadesĀ in theĀ employee benefits spaceĀ working with brokers and consultants, developingĀ and implementingĀ innovativeĀ strategies toĀ assist self-funded clients in managing their employee benefit plans.Ā With extensive experience drawn from both major medicalĀ and national stop-loss carriers,Ā heĀ bringsĀ a wealth of technical and market knowledge toĀ the EPIC organization. McSherryās expertise in self-funding,Ā employerĀ stop-lossĀ andĀ risk mitigationĀ will prove to beĀ anĀ invaluable assetĀ to the EPIC team and its clients.
Prior to joining EPIC,Ā McSherryĀ was with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance whereĀ he was instrumental inĀ facilitatingĀ the launchĀ of medical stop-loss in the Northeast. AsĀ a regional sales director,Ā his responsibilities includedĀ strategic planning,Ā new business development, renewal retentionĀ andĀ management ofĀ partnerships withĀ some ofĀ the largest brokerageĀ and consulting firms in theĀ industry.Ā McSherry started his career with Anthem BlueCross BlueShieldĀ in New York where he worked for more than 10 yearsĀ with bothĀ fully insured and self-funded clientsĀ in the commercialĀ large group market.
