New CEO Brings Depth of IT Experience to IT Business Management Startup

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – May 16 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — ITM Software, provider of the only integrated application suite currently on the market targeted solely at the business management needs of the CIO and IT organization, today announced the appointment of Mr. Henry J. “Hank” Leingang as president and chief executive officer, effective April 3, 2006. He was also named to the board of directors.

Leingang brings to ITM Software more than 20 years of high-level IT management and consulting experience, including CIO positions in several global 1000 companies. His reputation in the IT industry as a high impact professional has been fostered by a history of leading major operational and strategic changes in companies, leveraging information technology.

“CIOs are the general managers of a complex business within a business. While they have helped deliver tools and process change to every part of the enterprise, ‘the shoemaker’s children have no shoes.’ CIOs are driven to provide financial transparency and business discipline to the IT function,” Leingang said. “This makes it possible to have fact-based discussions with IT’s constituents and customers.” He added, “ITM is the only company that provides a fully integrated IT management solution to support this mission. While there are lots of lower-level tools for IT use, there is a vacuum at the senior management level. I am excited to work with our current and future customers to provide business rigor in meeting challenges like demonstrating that the IT house is in order, deciding which projects best align with business priorities, demonstrating regulatory compliance, and delivering more operational services for less cost.”

Leingang built his IT management reputation at industry leaders Bechtel and Viacom. As CIO at Bechtel Group, Inc., he led the transformation of a fragmented IT environment into a highly coordinated, global service organization delivering products and services to 13 worldwide business units. Earlier, as the CIO of Viacom, Leingang led the project to rebuild the computing environment of Viacom and its subsidiaries and, after several corporate acquisitions, established the corporate governance required to coordinate appropriate IT activities while continuing to drive IT activities through divisional organizations. More recently, Leingang was the President and CEO of ThinkLift, a business and IT strategy consulting firm he founded.

“Hank has a deep passion for improving the way IT is managed, which fits our mission perfectly,” said Bob Kaplan, interim CEO and board member. “ITM Software differentiates itself with not only our suite of applications for IT, but the depth of IT knowledge and best practices expertise we offer; and Hank understands that. We feel fortunate to have someone with his change management experience to help us provide additional services to our customers.”
