SUNRISE, Fla., March 10 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — While the economy has forced many businesses to cut back, Interim HealthCare Inc., the nation’s leading health care franchise company, is expanding. Interim HealthCare announced the opening of a new franchise to serve the home care needs in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Located at 43050 Ford Road, Suite 110 in Canton, just west of N. Lilly Road, the office provides a full array of in-home medical and non-medical services including skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and home health aides to people living in Wayne County.

“As the population continues to age, the need for home care services becomes even greater,” said new owner Mojeeb Shahbain. “It’s happening in our own community and nationally the trend is continuing.”

According to the Department of Health and Human Services, in 2011, more than 8,000 people will turn 65 every day. By the end of that year the senior population of America will reach almost 49 million. By 2025, it will grow to nearly 72 million. And, the U.S. Census Bureau projects that the population age 85 and over could grow from 5.3 million in 2006 to nearly 21 million by 2050.

“I’m very pleased to be associated with a company like Interim HealthCare that has more than 40 years of home care and health care staffing experience and is considered to be an industry leader. We have the support of a national company with superior policies and procedures developed by professionals with decades of clinical and business experience,” said Shahbain.

Shahbain has 11 years of pharmaceutical expertise ranging from pharmaceutical research, retail operations and in clinical settings. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Mosul University and is currently working on competing his Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Idaho State University. He is a member of various associations; American Pharmacist Association, Michigan Pharmacist Association, National Community Pharmacists Association and International Pharmaceutical Compounding. Shahbain has owned and operated Sav-Mor Pharmacy located in Michigan for the past 4 years.

“I’m honored to provide services that make such a valuable contribution to people in our community,” added Shahbain. “And, I look forward to fulfilling our mission of improving people’s lives.”

Nationally, Interim HealthCare has over 300 offices in the United States and has been providing home care and supplemental staffing services, since 1966.
