CHICAGO, Ill., May 24, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — New to fest-goers at the Jeff Fest Arts & Music Festival, July 26-28, 2013, is a much-anticipated Juried Fine Art Photography Show presented by the Chicago Creative Coalition (C3) entitled “C3 PhotoArt Fest.” The show will be limited to no more than 50 selected images and is open to original works. C3 invites you to submit images online by June 7, 2013. The entry fee is $35, and covers up to four images.

C3 and Jeff Fest Arts & Music Festival are excited to have the following creative professionals on the C3 PhotoArt Fest Jury:
* Heather Coll Aitken, president, founder, and lead photographer at Beat Studios.
* Hank Erdmann, professional natural history photographer and photographic educator.
* Laurie Loughry, creative director for Davidson Marketing – Ogilvy.
* Robert Tolchin, professional, commercial, and fine art photographer.
* Peter Walton, painter/photographer on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:
* 1st place – $500
* 2nd place – $250
* 3rd place – $200
* Honorable Mention (3 awards) – $50
* People’s Choice – $50.

Winners also will be included in the monthly show at the office of 45th Ward Alderman John Arena. All accepted images will be featured on Chicago Creative Coalition’s website.

What is eligible to enter? The show will be limited to no more than 50 images. Open to original works; all photographs must be entirely the creation of the submitting artist. The image may be created on film or digital capture and may be enhanced or manipulated by a computer software, but a computer-generated image will not be accepted. Members of the jury and C3 PhotoArt Fest directors are not eligible.

Acceptance into the exhibit is not guaranteed. Incomplete entries will not be considered nor refunded. Entry fee is non refundable and nontransferable. Accepted works must be hand delivered; no shipments will be accepted. C3 accepts no responsibility for unpacking. Copyrights: Artists are responsible for understanding and following any copyright laws and international trade laws that may apply to their work. C3 assumes no responsibility for checking copyright permission.

The three-day Jeff Fest Arts & Music Festival is presented by 45th Ward Alderman Arena, Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Jefferson Park Advisory Council and the Chicago Park District along with media partner 93.1 WXRT Chicago.

Festivities take place in Jefferson Park on Chicago’s Northwest side. The festival has become one of Chicago’s most highly anticipated neighborhood arts and music festival of the summer and takes place at Jefferson Memorial Park located at 4822 N. Long Avenue, just west of Milwaukee Avenue. Fest-goers are encouraged to take public transportation, as the Jefferson Park Metra and CTA Blue Line are just a block from the festival grounds. Plenty of bike racks also will be available. Free parking will be marked and available in area parking lots.

The fee for festival admission is $7 per person, or $5 before 5 o’clock. Children ages 12 and under are Free. Coolers and liquor are not permitted. Festival hours are Friday, July 26 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 27th from Noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday, July 28 from Noon to 10 p.m. Lawn chairs welcome.
