AUSTIN, TX (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Perception Software announced today its authorization as the first U.S. nationwide Data Management Integrator by Autodesk. As a nationally authorized DMI, Perception Software will focus on providing packaged data management product and implementation services offerings to engineering and manufacturing firms of all sizes. In addition, the company is also authorized as an Autodesk Development Partner to extend Autodesk’s data management products to meet the needs of its customers.

By focusing on implementing Autodesk’s Vault, Productstream, and Streamline products, Perception Software is able to provide expertise in the growing data management market.

“Until now, data management solutions were only affordable to very large engineering and manufacturing firms,” said Joe Dalton, CEO of Perception Software. “This partnership delivers complete data management at a much more reasonable investment, allowing more companies to realize the value of these solutions.”

“Autodesk is serious about the data management market,” said Ken Bado, Senior Vice President of Autodesk. “Our authorization of Perception Software, based on their expertise in this area, reflects our focus on helping customers simplify their design to manufacturing process. Data management is at the core of that solution.”

Separately, Perception Software announced the creation of its Engineering Data Management University in Austin, TX. As an Autodesk Authorized Training Center, EDMU will focus on delivering both user and administration classes for Autodesk data management solutions.
