The purpose of this festival, which we have decided to call Corto Circuito Home Edition / Virtual Cinema 2020, is to share moving, high-quality stories from Spain, Latin America, and Latinos in the U.S. that embody the notion of EMPATHY (the theme we have designated for this year’s program) in an environment of healthy social distancing. Viewers will be able to access movies unavailable on other platforms from their own homes and join conversations that seek to build bridges of understanding and inclusion. For the first time Corto Circuito Latino ShortFest will simultaneously take place in four states of United States (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Texas) and in Colombia, in Cali and its Pacific area.
