UAC’s recognition from CTEC authenticates the PTP course, showing it is within the “standards, guidelines and procedures” of instruction specific to California tax laws.

Successful completion of the UAC course enables individuals to complete tax returns for a fee in California. Additionally, individuals achieving a score of 90 percent or greater on the PTP’s final exam receive the PTP designation, showing competency in tax preparation for individuals and small businesses.
