Hatin' Organization stepped forward with a line of clothes with a message: Stop
Hatin' -- two remarkably simple words that create a powerful phrase that
emphasizes the positive and eliminates the negative at every level in our
society. The Stop Hatin' Organization printed this powerful phrase on the front
and back of its t-shirts and sweatshirts.

The clothing line is the brain child of Jami Israfil, a former school bus driver
with the Dayton, Ohio, public schools. "This is not a new concept," says
Israfil. "I came up with the idea because of what I heard the kids on my bus
saying. They were talking about hating in a whole different way than we adults
do."

As used by young people, including popular rappers like Eminem, Jay-Z, and
Nelly, the word "hatin'" means jealousy, backbiting, disrespect (dissin'), and
other similar behaviors. Israfil adds, "To the rest of us, the word describes
some pretty negative behaviors, too. No matter how you define the word, stopping
the hate is a good thing. Now we're adding a new logo and new name to take the
concept to the next level. The classic stop sign logo will be available still,
but 9/11 let us know that this idea needs to be promoted throughout the
world--even the universe--not just here in the U.S. So, we've come up with a new
logo and a name that reflects a broader focus."
