KALISPELL, Mont., Sept. 8, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Since its beginnings in summer 2009, Skull Church has delivered killer concerts from popular Christian artists and a clear gospel message to the Flathead Valley. Named for the place of Christ's crucifixion, Skull Hill, the monthly event is regularly held at the Liberty and Strand Theatres in Kalispell. This month, for the first time, the event will be taken on the road for two days to the historic Wilma Theater in Missoula. Fresh Life Church produces Skull Church events.

Taking place Sept. 16 and 17, Skull Church Missoula will feature two highly anticipated bands, Blindside and Family Force 5, with the cornerstone of the night being a raw and relevant gospel message from Levi Lusko.

"Skull Church has always been a platform to spread the message that the most beautiful thing to ever happen in history occurred in a place of death-God died in our place," says Lusko. "We've broadcast that message through the monthly Skull Church event, on the Web, and radio, now we're amplifying it through the speakers at the Wilma. We'd like to see every one of those 1,067 theatre seats filled with people hearing the gospel."

Skull Church has become an impressive platform for live music, and the Missoula event will be no different. Attendees can expect state of the art audio and visual technology, along with an experience that rivals most mainstream concerts, but the focus isn't the show.

"The platform may be intense, the music and media aggressive, but the heart of the night is to lead the audience into a better understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what he did on the cross," says Executive Pastor Coy Trammel.

Although the edgy format and use of technology typically draws a younger generation, Skull Church is for everyone.

"Skull Church isn't your grandmother's church, but she's welcome too," says Lusko.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the evening kicking off at 7:00 p.m. both nights. Skull Church Missoula is a free event specifically for a generation that does not know God, isn't necessarily "into" church, and desperately needs Jesus. The primary focus of the night will be to bring a culturally applicable, explicit gospel message.

"We are humbled by the response to Skull Church but we are not identified by how many are inside the church, but instead by how many are outside," states Lusko. "Our vision is to see those stranded in sin find life and liberty in Jesus Christ."

For those who can't make it, Skull Church Missoula will be broadcast online through a high definition webcast at www.skullchurch.com - and streamed live on Fresh Life Radio at www.freshliferadio.com . For more information about Skull Church, call Fresh Life Church at 406.257.3339.
BOZEMAN, Mont., June 22 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- In response to growing demand for rapid delivery and competitive pricing, Lattice Materials recently started stocking thin film coating witness samples for its customers. The program takes the burden and expense of inventory off the company's customers and improves their experience with Lattice.

As Peter Brown, Sales and Marketing Manager at Lattice Materials explained, "The witness sample stocking program saves our customers money in three ways:

1. They can buy in smaller quantities than if we ran a polishing operation just for their order; because we make the witness samples in bulk, they can enjoy quantity discounts without having to buy in large lots.

2. They can get extremely fast delivery, without having to pay any expedite fees;

3. Because delivery is within a few days, they can stock much smaller quantities and save on inventory costs."

Lattice Materials has built its reputation on high quality and consistent performance in its products - from infrared optical parts to thin film deposition materials. The stocking program has made the same quality and performance available without the hassle of lead times.

Brown continued, "Lattice is proud of our 20-year history of specialized support of germanium and silicon in infrared optics and coating applications. The witness sample stocking program is one more example of Lattice's leadership in these strategic materials."

The witness sample stocking program goes hand in hand with the company's new sputtering target stocking program. Low resistivity and undoped targets have been made available in common round sizes.

With constant pressure to maintain higher levels of thin film coating performance at lower costs, the Lattice Materials stocking programs are an invaluable resource. Ordering only what is needed and having it arrive just in time is an exceptionally valuable proposition in this increasingly competitive industry.

Lattice Materials is the world leader in germanium and silicon infrared optical blanks, curves, CNC machined parts and thin film deposition materials. Parts made by Lattice Materials are found in products such as night-vision goggles, infrared cameras, missiles and the most advanced military aircraft in the world. The company's global sales and support network ensures top quality service and ease of transaction. Lattice Materials is ISO 9001:2008 certified and ITAR compliant.
EUREKA, Mont., Dec. 17 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- In his latest book titled, "Saving Eden" (ISBN 13: 978-0-9791293-9-1, EnDeavours Publishing), set in the Tobacco Valley, Montana author David C. Deavours shares a message of environmental awareness through a fictional story full of mystery, adventure, romance and tragedy.

Deavours relocates his main character, Nate Stone, from his Southern Appalachian home and plunges him into the wilds of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, where Nate suddenly finds himself enveloped in an unsolved murder mystery dating in the early 1800's.

Through a collection of enjoyable characters and sequenced flashbacks in time, "Saving Eden" delivers "A story for mystery lovers and a message for everyone," claims Deavours. "I wanted to get people to stop and think about their personal impact on our resources in an entertaining fashion. So I tried to create an interesting scenario and colorful characters to convey my message," says Deavours.

"Folks don't like to be told that they are negatively impacting the planet, which made me believe that sharing these thoughts through an entertaining story makes the information more palatable," Deavours added.

"Saving Eden" (ISBN: 978-0-9791293-9-1) sells for $14.95 and is available on-line at endeavourspublishing.com and several other Web based bookstores including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Books-A-Million.

Deavours says his next publishing project, coincidentally titled, "My Walk with Eden," is a compilation of short stories about the triumphs and trials of the early years of motherhood from author Christie Elkins. Told from a new mother's perspective, "My Walk with Eden" is an honest look into the heart and mind of a mother on a journey to raise her first child while following a path of righteousness in a secular world, "And the lessons that God is teaching them both along the way," says Elkins.
Concert at Bozeman, Montana's Ellen Theatre Saturday, May 2nd Featuring Special Guests - The Meritage Quartet

BOZEMAN, Mont., April 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- The Instrumental virtuoso and social networking champion returns to One Prime Recording Location of his breathtaking new album - an acoustic marvel! On Saturday May 2nd, 2009, at 8 p.m., classical guitarist Stuart Weber will be bringing his fret board magic to Bozeman, Montana for an acoustic concert at the Ellen Theatre - one of eleven hallowed locations in which the musician recorded his stunning new album "The Fifth Row: An Acoustic Tour of Historic Theatres."

On this highly anticipated audiophile project - set for release on Weber's own Bridger Artists Inc. label on July 7, 2009 - Weber closes the CD with a quietly inspiring rendition of "America the Beautiful" that was recorded in the Ellen, which opened as a movie theatre in 1919 and is currently enjoying a revival of its own, having just reopened its doors to live performances for the first time in decades. This makes the concert Mr. Weber is bringing to the Ellen Theatre a poignant and purposeful occasion.

On "The Fifth Row," Mr. Weber recorded eleven pieces in eleven treasured yet often troubled theatres in the heartland American states of Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. That he would undertake such a painstaking process to preserve the very sound of these endangered venues reveals a mere glimpse of the pioneering spirit that drives him as an artist and advocate. That same spirit propels him as among the first classical music artists to proactively utilize social networking outlets such as Facebook and Twitter to promote his artistic undertakings and the importance behind them - an innovative twist as yet rarely exploited by his peers.

Mr. Weber will be joined by another prestigious group for this monumental Ellen Theatre show - Bozeman, Montana's own Meritage Quartet - a string group consisting of Carrie Krause, Stephen Cepeda, Mary Carson and Peter Landeen. Formed in 2005 and taking its name from the word in wine making circles defined as "a pleasing blend of flavors where no one ingredient is dominant," the Meritage Quartet was one of two groups from around the country invited to attend the Deer Valley Music Festival's 2007 "Emerging Quartets and Composers Program." The group premiered a work by composer Joan Panetti at the festival, will premier another new work this season by composer Eric Funk, and will be featured on the arts show 11th and Grant on public television.

Over the last two decades, classical guitarist Stuart Weber has emerged as one of today's most forward thinking virtuosos in both his interpretations of the classics and his richly melodic original compositions. A student of the master Christopher Parkening, Weber relied on one of his ground rule teachings for his latest offering. "He taught me that your entire thought process is on your right hand - which is producing the tone - but your ears have to be in the house. In that sense you play as if you're in the fifth row, and that's where the title of the CD came from."

Stuart Weber and local heroes The Meritage Quartet's acoustic concert at the Ellen Theatre promises to be an evening of soul-stirring musical Americana.

Stuart Weber's "The Fifth Row: An Acoustic Tour of Historic Theaters," will be available through Weber's own Bridger Artists Inc. July 7, 2009.
Eleven Recordings in Eleven Venues Through Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana

BOZEMAN, Mont., Jan. 27 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Over the last two decades, classical guitarist Stuart Weber has emerged as one of today's most forward thinking virtuosos in both his interpretations of the classics and his richly melodic original compositions. With his latest offering, "The Fifth Row" (Bridger Artists Inc.), he takes that ingenuity of spirit to a whole new arena...make that eleven new arenas! Subtitled An Acoustic Tour of Historic Theaters, The Fifth Row (in stores April 21st) finds Weber taking his guitar on the road for an intimate series of recordings within the walls of some of America's treasured - and oftentimes troubled - concert halls.

"While working outdoors on my Montana farm, I started thinking about how I wasn't excited about revisiting the same old process of making another album in the studio," Weber shares. "Then I recalled times when I would go on tour, and the theater managers would often tell me about how at some point in time that very hall had a date to meet the wrecking ball, often saved in the nick of time by concerned citizens not wanting to lose another historical landmark." That's when Weber got the idea to immortalize some of these endangered venues by recording his solo guitar in them, capturing their unique acoustical properties with tailor made performances.

Each place had its specific challenges, but each ultimately provided the locale for a unique performance from Weber - from the haunting original "Tango on Spanish Creek" recorded at the state of the art (for 1936) Art Deco Washoe Theatre in Anaconda, Montana to the stark beauty of Bartok's "Evening at The Village" recorded at the intimate western themed Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, Colorado.

After a costly false start that forced Weber to discard seven hard-won recordings, the determined guitarist and his engineering consultants settled upon the perfect audio equipment to capture both the intricacies of Stuart's playing and, as importantly, the audio thumbprint of the rooms. The other key decision was for all of the sessions to be done in the dead of night - between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.

The solitude set the stage for Weber to truly "bond" with each hall, rooting out its unique acoustic properties as he would do take after take until he mastered just the right dynamics to make the most of the room. A student of the master Christopher Parkening, Weber relied on one of his ground rule teachings. "You have to hear the way you're making the room respond to you and adjust your playing accordingly. In that sense you play as if you're in the fifth row, and that's where the title of the CD came from."

With each venue in mind - historically and architecturally - Weber picked one selection apiece to honor the venue. "For example, the Wilma Theatre in Montana has an Eastern European quality architecturally so I played 'Humoresque' by the Czechoslovakian composer Dvorak to match. It's a very famous piano piece that I transcribed on a dare - a major challenge for the guitar."

"This album is not about me, it's about these great old theatres," Weber concludes. "For that reason alone, I strongly feel this is the most refreshing CD I've ever made."
MISSOULA, Mont., June 18 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- From June 27th to August 4th Liquid Planet in downtown Missoula will host the International "Birth of Coffee" Exhibition. Based on the book of the same name by Daniel and Linda Lorenzetti (ISBN: 978-0609606780), the photography exhibit chronicles the life of coffee from seed to cup.

David and Linda Lorenzetti travelled over a quarter of a million miles to five different continents in a span of five years to trace the birth and life of the 2nd most globally traded commodity (second only to oil). The duo-toned silver gelatin photographs specially processed with actual coffee celebrate the distant landscapes, cultural vitality and individual labor that infuse the coffee trade.

The exhibition seeks to bring the contributions of coffee farmers around the world into public view to facilitate a better appreciation of the world-wide morning brew. Boston, Washington DC, Las Vegas and Boston have been previous destinations, but this is the first time the exhibit has been brought to the Northwest, and only the second time it's been displayed in the Western United States.

The exhibition opening presentation is Friday June 27th at 7:00 p.m. with the book signing the following day at 1:00 p.m. Learn more about the exhibition and project at www.birthofcoffee.com.
EUREKA, Mont., May 2 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- EnDeavours Publishing LLC, a newly founded (est. 2006), independent book publisher, recently released its first book titled "Letters from Home - Thoughts to Carry with You Upon Leaving the Nest" (ISBN-13 978-0-9791293-7-7). EnDeavours Publishing LLC is owned and operated by husband and wife team David C. and Jennifer Deavours.

After developing an interest in publishing David's first manuscript, they quickly learned of the struggle that many literary artists go through to have their work published, so they teamed up to form their own publishing company. "While the initial purpose for establishing this business focused on personal creations, our long term objective is to provide sound, professional guidance to other unknown aspiring literary artists and produce a variety of family orientated literary materials," says Jennifer.

Also the author of the company's first book, David utilizes a fun, alphabetical format and his comfortable approach to storytelling to offer advice to the young adult beginning his or her journey for independence and personal growth.

"This endeavor began as a letter to my son so I may leave him with an understanding of what I felt was important in life to know, experience, and practice," says Deavours. "I also want to leave him with a life-long connection between us, even after I have passed on. I thought about just writing it for my son and leaving the manuscript in a safe or something, then I realized that some of the messages in the manuscript were too important not to share, so my wife and I decided to publish it for all to enjoy, and in doing so we created EnDeavours Publishing LLC," added Deavours.

Their book is unique in that it provides a wealth of useable information in a comfortable and fun, easy to read and organized format, accommodating to the busy lifestyle of the young adult. Letters from Home is also unique in that the information provided is based on the real-life experiences of the author, the "everyday man," or the "average joe," says Deavours, who is someone in which many readers may relate.

"While it is was originally written and designed for the young adult (18 to 24 years) that is about to or has recently left home for college or career, we have found through personal contacts and local reviews that its subject matter is also beneficial and enjoyable to parents as well," Deavours says. "Due to this feedback, we believe our book makes an excellent gift for many occasions including birthdays, graduations, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Christmas."

Letters from Home sells for $9.99 and is available through most bookstores or via www.endeavourspublishing.com. Its ISBN 10 number is: 0-9791293-7-0 and its ISBN 13 number is 978-0-9791293-7-7.

Next up for the Montana based company is a fictional mystery-adventure set in Montana which the author, David C. Deavours says will be, "entertaining and enlightening...suitable for teenage to senior readers."
