Artists must meet income requirements to be eligible to rent the one-and two-bedroom apartments. Prospective artists in residence will be provided leasing applications as soon as they become available from the Landmark Developers.

Artists are encouraged to submit a portfolio of their artistic work to innovate@copbfl.com

“This is a tremendous opportunity for artists to live in an urban, dynamic new downtown community,” said Jody Leshinsky, Cultural Executive Director. “The Artist in Residence program will facilitate the success of City Vista, while also promoting the Pompano Beach’s cultural arts scene, attracting and retaining talented individuals in the developing downtown, and providing a steady stream of volunteers to participate in the City’s growing cultural arts brand.”

Artists who apply to live in City Vista, and are accepted for residency, will receive various discounts, promotion opportunities, and special access to classes and events at the cultural centers in exchange for occasionally volunteering at cultural-related events and promoting Pompano Beach Arts. Volunteer opportunities will be available to participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must volunteer to benefit from promotion opportunities, discounts and special access to events and classes.

City Vista is within walking distance from three dynamic cultural venues – the historic Ali Cultural Arts Center, the historic Bailey Contemporary Arts, and the new Pompano Beach Cultural Center and Library. Program participants will be eligible to accumulate a specified number of coupons per year.

The Artist in Residence Program is cashless, therefore participants will receive coupons that can only be redeemed at the Downtown Cultural Centers.

City Vista is a rent-regulated development; therefore, applicants must meet certain financial criteria. Income limits for a family of four range from $21,750 to $43,500 with one-bedroom rents from $408-$816, and two-bedroom rents from $489 to $979. For complete criteria please visit http://www.broward.org/BrowardHousingCouncil/.

City Vista is the result of a public-private partnership between Landmark Developers, LLC and the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA); the CRA contributed the land upon which City Vista is being built.

Artists are encouraged to submit a portfolio of their artistic work to innovate@copbfl.com. All artists who submit these documents will be notified when City Vista leasing applications are made available by Landmark Developers, LLC. Upon acceptance into City Vista, artists are invited to participate in the Artist in Residence program and will be given access to the volunteer opportunity database.
