Global Artists Collective Newsroom - Profile and News Archive
Global Artists Collective is a Seattle-based performing arts nonprofit dedicated to creating cross-cultural programming that increases access for underrepresented artists and brings diverse communities together through shared artistic experiences.
We support selected artists through grant procurement, management, booking, promotion, event production, and affordable/free access to a unique rehearsal-recording studio and technical services. With these creators, we regularly produce events that attract diverse audiences and foster cross-cultural connections in communities.
For example, as part of the Cross-Cultural Center without Walls in Bellevue WA (USA), Global Artists Collective ensembles use panel discussions, workshops, and school programs along with concerts to explore the theme of the interrelated structure of all reality and how people from across the globe depend on each other every day (see also Martin Luther King Jr 1973). Audience interaction drives discussion and even spontaneous composition of songs around themes, scenes or feelings contributed by audience members.
